I still don't understand Lady Cho's motivation for not wanting San to ascend the throne. The Aunt, yes. She doesn't want to give up her privileges, but at the same time, unless her adopted son became King, she'd still be forced to leave the palace no matter who took the throne. If she'd been nice to her nephew, he'd have surely have been graceful to her in return, much as I'm guessing he'll be to the current Queen.
What's the ultimate goal of these women? Who will be King if not San? Maybe the alternative is even worse.
I'd like for the characters to have a more clear and solid motivation. As it is, it feels more like a silly whim dictates their actions rather than solid reasons.
