First of all, the car accident victim has a family - shouldn't they get a chance to say good-bye before all the organs are harvested?
Secondly, I don't understand the American system where the recipient knows details about the donor. I mean, how could the hacker know about the heart that another recipient receives? And just because the blood type might fit doesn't mean the organ is fit for his wife, there are lots of other markers that have to match as well.
And there is something to be said about keeping patients' files on paper or at least off-line in a backup - and not to have all the medical instruments and devices networked. Cutting power to ORs and ICUs should be impossible as a backup generator (which understandably shouldn't be on any network) should keep the devices going for another 1-2 days. Here, within an hour there was no power at all...
