For some reason, a favorite show of mine. Not only do I really like Amy Juergens, played by a young Shailene Woodley (tho the character is not well received by most, labeled too self absorbed) and then Ashley (the memorable India Elsley) but this is a comfort show for me that hasn't gotten old despite repeated rewatches.
It's the teen in me that loves this.
Secret Life has a special place for me.
Despite what some would label as cringy or abc family lifetime glory, for me it is up there for me as a favorite, somewhere above Make it or Break it and under Sabrina the Teenage Witch.
Cant stand Amy, only watching the show for Adrian and sometimes ben and ricky

The acting in this was atrocious. The fact I got through this is a testament to stubbornness.
Seasons 1 and 2 - the good.
Seasons 3 and 4 - the bad.
Season 5 - the worst.
Back when it first aired, I never knew about this show. I made the mistake of picking it up now thinking it would be a good fill-in.
It's not that it's a complete waste of time. The first two seasons are actually good. It's that the character development is either non-existent or negative. Most of the characters seem to actively refuse to learn from their mistakes, leading them to screwing things up over and over, or even improving on their troublemaking skills over time.
To complete my frustration, the last season must have gone into history as one of the worst conclusions to a story ever written. It's boring through and through, and the story arcs are the poorest I've ever watched, even with the new blood they tried to bring in to save the mess it's become, to no avail.
None of the reactions to any character seamed remotely believable.
