Series ruined in episodes 4&5 by a ridiculous charicature of an idiotic incompetent Detective who seems to hastily and prematurely make his mind up who is guilty at the start of an investigation and then twists actions and evidence to back up his rabid fantasy. He also then strong arms everyone else into his narrative for the actions of the guy he decided was guilty. Then, just as ridiculous, the terrible detective only comes round to think maybe the guy didn't actually do it because "his luck is never that good" to get the evidence he got against the guy! So it still wasn't a trace of competence for the job suddenly appearing, it was just that he thought he was getting too lucky! Not sure if this detective character was intended to be some super maverick detective who works on hunches and instinct, but it comes off as an incompetent out-of-his-depth idiot who has no business being involved in crime investigation and also the character seems to be really badly acted. The actions of 1 character/actor spoiled the whole thing. A shame.
