Wow! This episode is full of surprises and I had no idea what was going to happen next. Richard Mulligan is great here as an exhausted father with a mentally handicapped son who possesses a "gift". I feel sorry for the parents. I tried to imagine how difficult raising a son like their's would have been. There is a sense of dread in the son's power, and there were at least two moments here that were truly shocking.
It's too bad more '80s Twilight Zone episodes aren't like this. Way too many of them are soft, emotional stories with pouty, self-absorbed victims as main characters.
