(Initial Impression). Why is this a half-hour show? This is not your typical SitCom, it has heart! This is comedy mimicking drama (THIS IS US, A MILLION LITTLE THINGS, THE VILLAGE). Walton Goggins is a very fine dramatic actor, so his slip into comedy has both depth and pace. I like the premise (as long as it doesn't end up being a shag-of-the-week show). There is a solid supporting cast and I really like the dynamics between the three families. I think I'm going to like this. I give this an optimistic 8 (great potential) out of 10. First five minutes I wasn't sure but then i grew into the story. I enjoyed it and hopefully it'll get better and better. Good cast, quirky, and plenty of room for growth.
I'm a bloke, I don't do romcoms. They're boring with the same ole theme. I really liked this show, it wasn't laugh out loud but somehow it was a nice relaxing comedy. I think it does require an attention span to watch it which the newer generations don't have. Perhaps that's why it was cancelled.
For being a show that started pretty slow in season one, by the end of season two I was excited to watch it every week. It was a nice and easy watching show that had likable characters. Unfortunately, soon after the finale I learned the show was cancelled. While it is not a show I would recommend to everyone, it is worthy of being watched.

Good cast. Decent first episode. Goggins plays the clueless-to-his-own-situation well. Corddry is funnier with the language restraints network TV puts on him. (Bonus: Bianca Kajlich sighting!) Interested to see where this goes.

This wasn't as enjoyable as I was expecting, I guess. The only other sitcom that I've watched, partly watched, and still watching, is HIMYM, and this was nowhere near the level of enjoyment of that show. Then again, sitcoms aren't THAT up there with the type of shows I'm used to, and enjoy very much. But HIMYM is one that I like very much, although that may be because I have a little bit of a nostalgia feeling towards it as it's a show that I watched some of when I was younger. Of course, this show wasn't bad, by any means, and I certainly didn't dislike it. It's just an easygoing show to watch, to pass the time, without the requirement of getting super invested, while still mildly having a fun time. At the very least, it'll probably fade back into my memory much quicker than other shows. That being said, I wouldn't particularly care if it doesn't get a second season, but I'd watch it if it does.
