It's strange how it never crossed their mind that if they use the knife, it might remove Elena, not Katherine. The Traveler girl used a binding spell, so logically, this was a very feasible possibility. Even if they knew nothing about the Traveler girl. Great episode overall, but there is no damn way Caroline just told Tyler to 'get over it' and she's 'done feeling guilty' about having slept with Klaus. THE GUY LITERALLY DROWNED HIS MOTHER JUST TO GET AT TYLER (not to mention all the other people he's murdered), they've fully ruined Caroline this season as far as I'm concerned
