When I was a little girl my mother used to dress me up like a little doll. And, I was always a little doll, waiting for someone to play with me. You know, when you’re empty inside, and you have no direction you’ll end up in some crazy places, right? But you’ll still be lost.
This is a way stronger season than S01. I seriously thought Tanya was a goner for a minute, I'm glad she is not. And how tables have turned for Harper and Ethan. I have a soft spot of watching Aubrey Plaza getting a sweet revenge, so let's go for the final!
Good episode, but I was expecting a little more build up before the finale. This episode definitely moved a lot slower than the previous one. Stuff certainly happened, but it didn't feel as revelatory or forward-moving as last week's did, which shouldn't be the case in the penultimate episode. Most of the material this week felt like it was retreading established themes, so I feel like the finale will be overstuffed, I hate it when writers dump all the major plot points in the last episode.
Harper is toying with Ethan. She and Cameron didn’t have sex, she was making it seem that way to give Ethan a taste of his own medicine. I like how the jealousy has been flipped and Ethan is wrestling with his insecurities now.
Isabella and Rocco engaged was a plot twist I wasn't expecting at all. I knew there is something between them but I wasn't excepting engagement..
I can't believe the Greg cowboy theory was right. That theory always seemed very soapy for me, but it would explain why Quentin sought out Tanya. I don’t think anything bad is happening to her, it's too obvious. I think she is being recorded having sex outside the marriage which probably nullifies the prenup.
Portia is a dumbass, she should've run as soon as Jack passed out.
I wish the guests interacted with each other more. Last season did a great job of showing little run-ins between all of the different groups.
For some reason, I started skipping Portia’s scenes. Idk uninteresting character and storyline.
That guy from Essex is right, if Portia can’t be satisfied right here right now, she’ll never be satisfied, like she’s in an all expenses paid italian vacation with two hot guys in her reach, if it isn’t love/sex what she wants then there’s adventures, exploring, food, relaxing, art and so on…
And in that note I don’t like that Portia and Tanya’s story is happening outside of the resort without any interactions with the staff or other guests
And this feels like Lucia show, not complaining but this feels more like what I assume Baby (netflix series is about) instead of the white lotus, that season 1 wasn’t as much about the locals.
AND DID AUBREY AND THEO HAD SEX???!!???
I'm forever blowing bubbles.. ⚒ Great show made even better!
Funnily enough, Tania, the most self centered character, actually shows concern for Portia. She measures her words and tries to warn her, in her own way with that conversation over breakfast.
For the funny parts, the emotional ones and the usual awkwardness, this was one of the best episodes so far
The conversations of this episode were 10/10, best episode
Considering the fact that I watched both seasons of WL. IMO Season 1 was incredibly better than season 1. Either way its worth your time and patience especially for season 2.
Do yourself a favor and watch this show.
this season lost itself in the middle, but still entertaining
I feel bad for Ethan, absolutely in the ringer. It's still unclear if Harper did anything, probably not but now he's getting some of that excruciating pain that she felt a few eps ago. Except this time, we also don't know so it's feel worse. Idk, I think Ethan, Portia, Albie, Mia, and Lucia are the good characters and excluding Harper, everyone else is on the morally negative side. I wonder if Albie is going to try to save Lucia.
I have some concerns about the Tanya plot line, but at this point I think I have to trust Mike White because he's almost always ended up addressing my previous worries quite directly. But apart from that and some slightly on-the-nose dialogue right at the end (it's extremely rare that White's writing feels plot-only so I'll excuse him this couple of minutes) this episode was basically all I could want from an hour of serialised viewing. Honestly this episode in particular and season in general has more emotional depth than 99% of the films I've watched in the last ten years so really how important is it to even distinguish between films and series in terms of critical hierarchy? (Pro tip: Not very.)

Man oh man. They’ve got a lot to tie up in the final episode next week.
