it hits you how self centered and self absorbed this family is. No room for any outsiders. A great job by the writers - hope it continues for many more seasons.

So after complaining in the last episode that Beth and Randall don't have money for a special nanny who knows how to deal with queer and adopted children they now... have someone to look after the girls? Or they don't? Who's looking after the children?
Besides that I found most of that episode tedious and weirdly unrealistic (e.g. everyone waiting for like 30 hours in a waiting room with no sleep, no proper food, no shower, no updates, just skipping work and everything).
Shoutout to Miguel and Madison though - I always liked Miguel and never understood why people dislike him. He's a good guy. And Madison is Kate's best and probably only friend, so just dismissing her like that was hard to watch. She even knew about the birth plans and everything.
Now I'm just wondering what the deal with Rebecca is - Was she just tired and remembering Jack's death or was that foreshadowing to some illness like dementia (which would also explain their sudden move to California because it might have specific facilities and doctors)?
Last episode Randal and Beth were complaining about not having money and they just travel and ignore work like that?
Definitely one of the weakest episodes... I found it very unrealistic for everyone to stay sited there. Any family would make shifts so there would always be someone there. I think they just wanted to create this situation where everyone was stuck in the same place.
I love love love this show but why does everything have to be a major crisis. Oh yes, that is what this show is about. Agreed, they don't like outsiders intrudding into their circle. Miguel is a better person than I am. He's been around these kids and this family all their lives almost, seems he'd be a shoe in for offiicial membership into the family by now.
Not a good episode. Did not like watching the family so negative and nasty the whole episode. Madison and Miguel deserve a medal.
This episode strongly reminded me of that awkward and explosive family therapy session. I have said this before, I love a good bottle episode.
