This is one of those episodes that reminds you of the reason you fell for this show in the first place.
So Randall and Beth do stay together and aren't divorced? Unexpected, but I'll take it! I'm still annoyed they didn't think about moving earlier and I'm not sure if opening your own dance studio is a good idea in their situation right now, but hey, apparently they make it work and that's all that matters to me. Really hope it'll give them some character development as well.
I'm mostly wondering who the mother of Kevin's kid is. Maybe Madison? Or could be Sophie, but I don't think I would feel great about them getting back together especially after Sophie was strict about moving on. And I wonder why Toby and Kate apparently broke up.
For some reason it didn't feel like a finale to me btw. Only after I read many comments I realized that it's the season finale. But I think I'm glad they didn't pull out a really big and forced cliffhanger. I feel like This Is Us tends to be too overdramatic nowadays, so keeping it a bit more lowkey this time isn't necessarily a bad thing.
Goddamnit Kevin! Every time I start to give him some credit... So soon after the talk he had with Sophie too, he goes and tries to convince Zoe she might actually want kids?
He isn't wrong in that the possibility will always exist (there will still be alternatives if that happens much later in life), but that's about it. They talked, they reached an agreement, and he went trying to circumvent it almost immediately.
It's a good thing that Kate didn't take long to recognize she was out of line. One of the few times that Rebecca wasn't overstepping, so that was uncalled for. Good on them for sorting it out.
Oh, and all the props for Deja! Seeing Randall getting an inspirational speech was funny and moving at the same time. He's rubbing off on her.
Great episode, one of the best recently, but grab a box of tissues. We need more of Papa Jack's ghost, I miss him so much this season.
Probably the first episode I genuinely liked in this entire season.

I really wanted to punch Kevin in the face when he was so smug about Zoe's interactions with Tess and Annie. Being an aunt is not the same thing as being a mother. Some people just do not want to have children and that's perfectly fine.
