The only long, weekend kdrama I've watched all the way through was Mother of Mine, and the mother in that kdrama as well as the one in this one have both said something to their child like "Fine, today I'll kill you and then myself. Let's die together." I genuinely despise such family dynamics — it's not healthy and it makes me so angry that such things are normalized in certain societies (I'm pretty sure it's not specific to South Korea alone).
Another thing I hate is parents who tend not to prioritize their children's happiness, but just want them to live in such a way that makes the family look good. Basically these are parents/families who care too much about what other people think. As Mr. Bennet once said in Lost in Austen: "Society can go hang."
And I mean I respect Tae-ju not letting her younger step-sibling steal away the apartment that she's paying for but telling So-rim she can't get married until she, the elder sister, does is so wrong lollol.
