I love these kind of cute little make over shows and Trixie Motel is no exception. I just wish there were a bit more spontanious moments instead of this constant scripted bull
3 Thoughts After Completing ‘Trixie Motel’:
This show is essentially one season-long advertisement for the motel. But I love Trixie, and she’s a genius. Because it worked. I wanna stay there.
As far as serving as an entertaining television series, it struggles. It’s at its best during the renovation segments, and seeing those gorgeous transformations, but those are unfortunately few and far between. Beyond that, it feels like we’re mostly served way too many (poorly) scripted/staged moments that pull us away from what is supposed to be reality.
Katya was, hands down, the best guest. Her entrance was a breath of fresh air compared to the others. And she and Trixie have such a natural chemistry. It is absolutely delightful. I can understand why they’ve stuck together for so long.
What can I say, as an avid fan of Trixie Mattel, this blew my mind!
My boyfriend and I were left crying at some beautiful moments especially during the marriage vows of Dani & Phillip

Take a small old run down motel and turn it into a drag queen's art project. Fabulous. I love it when creative people get money and do something interesting. Can't wait to see how that main lobby/bar turns out.
