This list comprises of shows (and some Netflix movies) with black actors as the lead or mostly black cast.

I know some disabled people don't like the term "differently abled" but I'm using the term to include people who may, for example, have dwarfism or have a heavily scarred/deformed body (part), but wouldn't consider themselves "disabled" in any way. If there's a better way to word this, let me know! Excluding characters with mental illness or terminal diseases, they have their own lists. I'm always open to recommendations! i'm tired of googling "Black leads on netflix" or any other streaming platform. so i made this list :information_desk_person_tone3:‍♀
my hope is that i'll see just how many shows there are where Black voices are centered. and i also hope it'll take me a shorter amount of time to find something to watch where a Black person isn't a secondary character or a guest on the show.

• This includes African/black people descended from Canada and the United States. I can't in good conscience include the rest of the Americas since like 90% of this list includes US citizens.

• In an attempt to sort my ethnicity/race lists better, I've created separate lists for African-Canadians/USians, Afro-Caribbean people, and indigenous/minority African people, all listed below.
