A stylish debut with slick animation, charming homages to animation past, and a fun pulpy concept. This is a Genndy Tartakovsky show, alright. Do I trust it to stick the landing after Samurai Jack and Primal? Not at all. But I’ve come to accept it’s about the journey with his shows, not the destination, and I’m sure it’ll be an entertaining and well crafted- visually at least- one.
