It's like The Hunger games mixed with The Giver and some Divergent. That with a bunch of singing and dancing.
wasn't really sure if i was going to continue this series or not and then found out snoop dogg is voicing the ai computer and i'm committed to at least another few episodes now lol
I am reminded of Star-Crossed for some reason, though it feels like a Hulu original and not a CW production. The Canadians made a dystopian show about Hip Hop, one where Divergence does America's Got Talent but so far fails to impress real enough stakes. (It does get better and stays better, though, imo. Worth sticking with it.)
Similarly thoughts when I watched it. The whole series just falls flat on its face.
Well, this show is a hard pass for me.
Characters have no personalities - world its set in is boring and I hate hip-hop which seems to be the sole focus.
After reading a review, the whole competition things doesn't make sense either.
Why would a world despising individuality have a competition in which only one person wins?
