I can not even describe the feeling when Floki lowers himself from that hut! I had a hunch it was going to be Floki when the lady told Ubbe about the 'crazy man' but up until that point I truly believed him to be dead. It's nice to see him back for the last moments of the show.
Harald is such a complex character for me personally. I hated him and I loved him. He made some stupid decisions and his ambitions always got the better of him. He got everything he wanted and always wanted more but then he'd lose again and he'd be so sad that I couldn't help but pity him again. His death didn't hurt me as much as I thought it should, maybe because he had it coming by now but when Halfdan showed up I damn near lost it! That was such a welcome surprise!
Very smart from Ivar.
Harald's death would've been very underwhelming if he didn't take his killer with him. I found it a bit touching when the first response from Harald was simply "Valhalla"
I've never cared about Harald but that was a good last breath kill.
On the other hand, I didn't care about Halfdan most of the time either but since he joined Bjorn he grew on me, so that was a welcome surprise.
I'm guessing it's all downhill from here on out for the Vikings in England and I couldn't care less about either side by now. :slight_frown:
Of all the "storytelling choices" they made, I wish they'd kept fake Ragnar's son alive somehow so at least they could mimic the end of Rome.
What a Great episode with a great Surprise!!!
Never would I have thought that I'd someday root for the English army instead of the Viking one in a battle. But here we are. I don't care about Ivar or Hvitserk or Harald. I actually dislike them. So I was rooting for Alfred! Back in season one, unthinkable.
Also, who cares about Erik or Ingrid? Honestly such annoying, unlikable characters. The scum of the people become king and queen? The hell? Bye, Erik. Hopefully bye Ingrid in the next episode.
As for Ubbe, Torvi and baby Ragnars storyline - LOVE IT! So amazing how they credited Gustaf and Jasper at the end of the ep, to not spoil anything. Loved how we got Halfdan back for a few seconds. And Floki of course!!!
The storyline feels very weird as the last ever storyline on the show, let's se how they wrap it up…
since the beginning of season 6B Floki was mentioned multiple times. I was not surprised, I was eagerly awaiting his appearance ....and what an appearance it was.
How is Flokie still alive? And how has he not aged?
I am happy that Floki survived and escaped from that cursed island.
What a lame way to go for Harald...
