Really enjoyed the show. It was slow at times and the main character was it but hard to understand but I wonder if that was part of his character. I mean, was he a bit autistic? The last season was very sad but well done. Never seen another show portray the disease so well.
I finished of the Wallander series two nights ago, and forgot to post my thoughts. I gave it a 7 (good) out of 10, although one episode in the 3rd season was an 8 (great). Disappointingly, I struggled with the personality of the title character, and wondered what the Swedes see in him that escapes me. It wasn't Sir Kenneth Branagh's depiction of him, which was probably spot on, it was the way the character was drawn - moody, non-communicative even in intimate or professional relationships, depressed, and self isolating yet brilliant in solving the mysteries around the crimes. I know that this character is a Swedish National treasure, but I'd love it if some Swede would tell me, "What's the appeal?" For me, what kept series from being an 8 (great and re-watchable), or a 9 (superb) was this character's inability to grow. Feedback welcomed. I'd like to "get it"
Found it very uninspiring, and didn't reach the heights it could of. One paced Show.
