I think I have now fully embraced that this show is basically a soap opera. A little too melodramatic and unrealistic for its own good but it sure does result in some entertainment value. Not really sure how they're going to resolve all of this conflict in the last episode and I bet a lot of it will be left unsettled for season 2. I liked seeing some of Rip's backstory. John's toxic relationship as a father and the control he expects to have over his kids is starting to show itself in full display with Jamie. I'm team Jamie right now, I'm glad he's not backing down and is sticking up for himself. Also, I can understand Monica's concerns but her specific reasoning for leaving Kayce is dumb and annoying.
events are moving extra slow... feels like there's no story to tell.
