Another cliffhanger! Dammit!
I liked how we get a little bit of backstory of Joe. We slowly start to see which type of people Joe gets interested in while having the same pattern each round. My favourite new character is Forty. He brings so much comedy and dept into this season. Also I love how Ellie is the new Paco that Joe cares about.
This season had more dept in it than season 1. Although I loved season 1 I feel like I prefer season 2 over it. Season 1 was slow-paced compared to season 2. Can't wait for more!
A bit sad that Forty died at the end, I really wanted to see more of him. And now we can add three more deaths to the count of everyone who's been killed by Joe. Or partly his fault.
This season was a real step-up compared to the first one. With the move to Los Angeles, the show embraced the opportunity to kinda poke fun at itself many times, with new characters that were a lot more interesting, with personalities more colorful/extravagant than the first one, starting with Love. It's a lot crazier and more unbelievable for sure, which is what You does best.
James Scully stole the show as Forty. Many memorable moments involved him - from the scenes he caused, to eventually going from bonkers to one of the most tragic characters on the whole show. The acid trip in episode 8 was really well done and entertaining - I usually don't enjoy "drug craziness" in TV or films, but this one was set up so well.
This season also felt a lot faster to me - SO MUCH happened each episode. This isn't necessarily a bad thing - they got to do a lot and it makes it very intense - but there were times where I was a little unsure about the relationship between Love and Joe. They went from meeting to being infatuated with each other way too fast... though that kinda makes sense once you see the finale (and I guess after the whole relationship with Beck, it makes sense to not devote too much time to developing another relationship, otherwise the seasons would be too similar). I loved the twist with Love though, it's exactly what the show needed.
The ending scene is so damn frustrating. I'm not someone who roots for Joe, but... come on, man, haven't we been through enough? Very excited to get into Season 3 next.
Season 2 has lost me. I find it hard to even stay awake during the episodes this season. Not to mention how nearly every episode has a racist dig toward whites, often white males in particular, with the "white privilege" and "white male fragility" slurs.
So far this season I'm up to episode 8; and 4 episodes out of 8 have had racist digs at white people. BYE.
As soon as I see Liberal writers taking their opportunity at writing for a popular network to hurl racist slurs at me, I'm out, and your show gets shit-rated by me.
Not as good as season 1, but still worth watching - will definitely watch next season.
Biggest problem for me was having to believe anyone could be attracted to Love.. she's just ugh. Candace is just as unattractive and uninteresting.
7/10
This season is so soapy, that I kept reaching for my phone. First season was sexy and intriguing. The second - total BS. The the end scene of the season was kinda interesting, though. :grinning:
Wow, what a disappointment for this second season. Last two episodes can't save the whole season and let's be honest - this plot twist? It was too much and actually it was such a piece of crap it didn't have any effect on me. I was like WTH, this is your plot twist?! This?! I'm bored. And I was bored the whole season. It has potential with Candance but yeah whatever. I was expecting more from this season...
Best season since season 4 of Dexter! Thrilling, wicked and breathtaking!
If I'm being honest I didnt really like Season 2 at first, the first episode felt very slow and uninteresting. However, by the end I thoroughly enjoyed it. I didn't quite like the LA setting though. They introduced some really interesting characters like Forty and honestly, really loved Love (however I may be biased because I love Victoria Pedretti).
I'm kind of glad that Joe found someone 'like' him with Love, it honestly made me feel quite satisfied with the story, someone who thinks the same as Joe made it very interesting story-wise. I had a feeling she was the one who killed Delilah, it was very satisfying to see her flashback of how she found out about Joe's antics. Of course, it ends with the 'hello, neighbour', so I'm assuming there will be another season, my theory is that it could be his mother (as she played a huge part in Joe's flashbacks - and Love even asking if she's still around, which Joe didn't answer)
Overall good, slow start and a little cliche with the LA setting, but interesting characters and storyline twists.
For the second season, I was curious about how they could reinvent themselves, feeling pretty sure we had seen all of the tools in Joe's bag of tricks. By this season we are desensitized to Joes' menace, and the drama has a more pedestrian feel, however, it ends with a delicious twist upon a twist. Not quite as good as the first season but still good viewing, I give this season a 7 (good) out of 10 and the series a 7.5. [Dramatic Crime Thriller]
Never thought that I would like the second season more than the first one. The first one was pretty boring. But because on twitter they loved it, I was curious to I watched it. Do not regret it.
Sometimes it feels like this is from a completely different series than the previous season, yet the LA saga is also a good time spent.
This took a very interesting turn. Psycho meets psycho. Love it. But still he can't keep it in his pants! WTAF!? :person_facepalming_tone1:

I like this show but seriously, does Netflix have any original ideals for there Org series that doesn't mimic others ideals like Dexter with this one. SMH!
