im not sure what to think, the performance of Brian is excelent, but the story....all the time im thinking, that's the most dumb idea that you can do...and they do....so for now im watching only because Brian.
An Unexpected Show That Is Off To A Phenonmal Start, And With Brian Cranston Taking The Lead, It Sets The Tone Right. What A Man Would Do To Protect His Family. A Few Episodes In & I Can't Wait For The Next. Looks Like Another Hit For Brian Cranston.
Bryan Cranston stars as a judge who confronts his deepest beliefs when his son is involved in an attack that confuses an organized crime family. Faced with a series of impossible choices, he discovers how far a father will go to save his son's life.
I was a little late starting this series, but when I saw Cranston in the lead, I knew it had to be good! This does not disappoint! This show actually has shades of Breakin Bad in that Brian is once again in a position to make up stories on the spot, make up the lies, and get himself and the ones he loves into deeper and deeper nightmare scenes. The tension is palpable and heartbreaking and intense, right from the start ... This show hooks in and won't let go. Powerful renditions here of someone's worst nightmare ... Ordinary people try to cope with an unfathomable situation as best they can, but create an ever-worsening cascade of domino-like events, one of which triggers the other, and so on. The son does a fantastic job and the mafia boss's choice is perfection to play out Cranston's portrayal of a loving and honorable father who is suddenly pushed to the limit and as he tries to protect his son, he becomes the polar opposite of everything. he was dear before. Stellar and absolutely compelling storytelling ...
4 episodes in and I'm done with this series, congratulations to Adam on being the most annoying character EVER
Yet another masterpiece with Cranston. This show is just amazing.
I have to mention that the writing seems a bit off, and I'm not gonna ignore that Cranston is actually carrying the show. But he's doing it so well though.
###Originality: 9/10
###Progression:8/10
###Agility:8/10
###Characters:9/10
###Acting and directing: 8/10
With every episode I was gradually lowering my expectations, and even though at that point I expected a bad finale, I still ended up disappointed. Well done.
Watching this series only for Bryan Cranston
This show is shaping up to be a goodie, a must-watch.
Season 2 has been a big let down after a great first season!
Alittle slow. I lot of things happened that would never happen. Still good and worth the watch!
Greek freakin' tragedy. Well worth the watch. Very well done show.
S1 was great. S2 is a very good sleep aid.
I think they dragged it a bit too much. The acting is great, the premise is also good, the suspense is there but could have been perfect if it was only 5 or 6 episodes instead of 10. Some situation and character decisions are so far-fetched because of this that the overall experience takes a hit.
When I first started watching this I thought yeah it's ok but the more and more episodes I've gone through the better it has got. top stuff.
I just finished season 1 and my oh my the acting from each person is just immense. The story starts with mystery and does not for one second go away.
The powerhouses behind this production need to give themselves a big pat on the back because although, covid interrupted the filming, I could not tell at all. It remained the escape we all needed.
The only reason I'm not giving it a higher rating is because it was a little slow, but once your locked in you want to know everything.
From part 1 to part 10, the changes are so drastically grey it makes you want to wrangle the characters.
Finished season 2 and yet again, I'm fascinated. The story feels like it only gets better. Am sure next season will feel only better. But. The pacing got worse. It felt alot longer then it had to be. I want season 3. Now.
Cranston is the highlight of this show tbh
Should've ended after the first season
A score of 5 MEH!!!!!
Episode 4 in and I’m now out of here….
The pilot was fantastic and gave us such a great platform to jump off from, shame they didn’t do that…..
Talk about doing every last thing that you shouldn’t do in this situation, as for the forever occurring coincidences, she just so happens to be the pc in charge of the case, he so happens to have freed the mother, he has to go with her on a police matter…..
On and on and on, I can honestly say I don’t like any of the characters even the supposed innocent and hard done by ones….
Do yourself a favour and don’t bother with this show or watch the pilot and stop there and pretend they didn’t make anymore, make up your own conclusion to the show…..
I am at episode four of the first season, The pilot was absolutely superb and laid the foundation for what could be a fantastic show.
The only problem is that the following episodes so far have gone downhill very quickly, The acting is okay, the direction is okay, the Filmography is okay, but the story line or should we say the writing leaves a lot to desire.
There’s far too many coincidence’s, just so happens to know the right people, just so happens to have a relationship with other people involved in the case, just so happens to to be the same person or place!!!!!!!
It way to much and over the top, be more subtle about it all and less forced connections, create some intrigue.
This show started of as a 6 “good” it has already dropped to a 5 “fair”
I will stay with it for at least another 2-3 episodes and see if it picks up and starts to pay off, but something is starting to tell me that I might be lowering my score even more, which is a big shame .
Great/fantastic pilot though!!!!!
Love Love Love this show
Can't wait for season 2,if you haven't watched then give it a go.
This was compelling enough to watch once through. There are elements of the plot that you know are coming, but still want to see played out. I appreciated the ending. I'd recommend to people who enjoy this genre. I don't think I'd revisit this miniseries now that I know the plot, even though it is objectively good.
Remind me of "Defending Jacob", but I think that show is far more superior in every aspects. Bryan Cranston is good in this, but that is all.
Not turned out quite as i had hoped!
The first flop this year. Good, cranston's acting is solid as usual. But the story is predictable, boring and badly written. I have rarely been so bored. Here, the viewer is partially fooled. The worst thing I've seen from the Kings.
Budget Breaking Bad with amateur hour writing.
This show is so depressing
Family as your ultimate downfall, pretty interesting, and Cranston is great. Stuhlbarg is miscast and with some better support and a more interesting middle, this could have been great. Still, the finale was better than expected.
Amazing show. It grabs you from the beginning. One of the best show I've seen. Outstanding, superb.
Brian Cranston has yet again played a main character I hate!
A Great show. Can’t wait for the next season.
Every episode I’m like omg wtf is wrong with this kid... why...
Watching on Showtime! The first two episodes are phenomenal!
Only one episode in, but looks like another winner from Bryan Cranston. Can't wait for the rest of the season!

You know those shows where the main character does EVERYTHING wrong and you scream at the television the entire time? Be prepared. It's exactly like that.
