Honestly I'm trying with this movie. But in the end it is reduced to one word: Cringe. The fact that they take patriarchy as the basis of the conflict is insane. It's a perfect reflection of the weird turn leftist ideology is taking in current times. But it seems they mean it seriously, not satirically, Ironically they toy with the Misandry of the Kens just to come back and reinforce it. LOL. The intentional plastic/fake look of the barbie dolls being a toy made for the mases brought to life makes for overacted performances as you would expect. I get it. is intentional, just doesn't make for great cinema. The only real thought that brought to mine. Is how the hell did Mattel agreed to this. Either someone outmaneuver them hard or the truly know how to have a laugh at their own expense.
captain cold is the coolest villain. This actor always delivers this kind of roles to perfection.

Can somebody explain to me why is this movie so famous. ??? I'm a true scifi lover and i have red the book that inspired the movie. So I believe I understand the story clearly enough. And still I could not say that i liked it. It is slow and overly dramatic with a dull ending. Am i right? or am I missing something?
I agree with most of the coments here. Not bad. But if you have seen the original. Then don't expect to be satisfied. I am not one for corean movies but the original of this movie is a masterpiece.
100% squeezed nostalgia. I hate that I loved it. I wish they brought back the episodic style star-trek all this new series are taking an entire season to develop what used to be a 30min episode. I know it is hard with all the high production level these days. But i would be willing to compromise on CGI and fancy camera work and props in exchange for an episodic format again.
Hearing the TNG soundtrack again in juxtaposition with the new ones immediately shows you how there has never been or will ever be a better soundtrack for StarTrek. This sound embodies the spirit of the franchise and truly transports you to the final frontier and inspire you to go where no one has gone before.
This is a poorly shoot movie with mediocre acting like most of Stephen king's based movies. However I feel the ending is just right up the alley of SK, although not precisely accurate.
