This show itself (as well as many of the contestants) was a massive surprise. Did not expect to enjoy as much as I did and it’s defo motivates me to go harder with my fitness. Bring on S2 :clap_tone4:
Nicely designed games, and the editing team did a really good job at presenting and making you care for the large cast of characters. Really nice moments of camaraderie (sometimes bordering on cheesy) and comedy between the cast sprinkled about.
My main criticism is that the second quest did get annoyingly repetitive to the point I skipped towards the end. I understand showing the entirety of the challenges for the different teams because people want to see their favorite athletes perform.
I do believe that there were challenges that seemed unfair, where the initial configuration played a big part in the outcome. The show's format would also require extreme luck for a female contestant to win.
Overall, it was a fine way to spend time. The duels in particular were quite hype and I found myself cheering for lots of different people.
Ah I really enjoyed this, the games were so well-designed!
Fun show, but it's annoying how they keep doing replays of the same moment like 4 times in a row.
Having been a die-hard fan of the video games I have high hopes (but low expectations) that this show will be awesome! I felt Silo had a very Fallout feel to them and if this is at least as good as Silo has been then this will be a winner!
Hopefully it won't randomly crash to the TV's home screen while watching.
I think … I THINK … we’re onto something amazing here. If this can keep up this level it’ll be named with the few big ones. I’m still hesitant to give this episode a 10, but it’s a fat feckin’ 9!
Another live-action, straight from the game (a few changes here and there but, meh, mostly same, same), winning episode. Between "Ooooh I remember that place!!!" and "yoooo, that looks SO familiar!!!" and yelling "Myceliummmmm Mama!!!" and "THAT IS FUCKING DISGUSTING, SO COOL, EWWW, I LOVE IT!!! (you know the bit wink*wink) - I was having a ball!
They nailed the set and CG re-creation in this one, and if they can keep it up, the series will be a total success.
9.5/10 for surprising me when the credits started rolling, I was fully immersed and expecting more. Good job, I'm hooked.
It is funnier than the first one. And overall, better.
It's called the Equalizer 3 because it contains about 3 minutes of equalizing
Dark and brutal. I enjoyed everything about this third installment of Denzils portryal Robert MacCall. It’s stripped right back to the brutal efficiency of a highly trained killer. I hope there is more.
I really don't get all the negative reviews this is getting. Are people really becoming this self-righteous and self-absorbed they actually think their personal subjective way-too-critical reasoning is the way to go with everything now?
I, for one, have really enjoyed this movie. I had not heard anything from it and wasn't sure what to expect, and was pleasantly surprised by what I believe is an epic movie. The fact it took me by surprise even added to it... I was gonna give this a 9, cause I haven't seen the rest yet (which might normally change it in any direction), but I'm now giving it a permanent 10 out if compensation for all these self-titled critics that don't like anything anymore these days (mainly cause I can't vote 20 for the same reason).
Anyway, whatever you read online these days (including myself ):
I recommend greatly!
Nice movie! Don’t mind the negative comments. Can’t wait for the second one!
Hey Zach, not every action scene needs slow motion. For fucks sake
This movie stands as the worst movie I've seen all year.
I think the director forgot that the character lost his voice, not his hearing. Why the F*** is nobody talking to him, including his wife who chooses to text him while literally looking at him in another room. Why did everyone just stop speaking to him?!?
Like candy cigarettes: a fun idea but very old fashioned.
The gimmick of having (practically) zero dialog because the protagonist is voiceless starts out as cute but finishes as annoying because there are moments when it would be ridiculous not to say something yet no one does so it is.
Also, Woo apparently is stuck in the 80s because the real hero of this film is the wife who's relegated to the background and not the macho vigilante who takes her for granted and treats her like shit.
What If is much better than the current live-action MCU shows.
I was ok with it all, then the last 3 minutes I was balling damn this show, haha
Outstanding and heartbreaking. I'm going to miss you old friend.
Not the ending I wanted to see, but all good thing's must come to an end. :end::confused:
Finally a movie that combines my favourite things; Subway Surfer, AI and a submarine voyage gone awry.
Tom cruise still solidified himself as the best action actor despite his age .. this movie was a thrill from beginning to end its unreal how they keep one upping themselves with these movies ngl … absolute must watch run to the movies right now .. yes you right now!!!!!
I guess I'm the target audience for this movie because I think it was an absolute masterclass in producing an enjoyable action movie. Cinematography was great, the story was paced extremely well, and the casting of ALL roles was absolutely perfect.
Cruise, Pegg and Rhames were awesome as always, Whigham and Davis were great additions, but the power quartet of Ferguson, Atwell, Klementieff and Kirby, really went above and beyond in making this movie perfect. Not to mention the chilling confidence of Morales as Gabriel, who practically oozed tangible danger.
From the pre-opening credits scene to the final act, you will be on the edge of your seat - especially during any fight scene that involves Ferguson or Klementieff - and whilst there are moments that the tempo slows down to advance the story, it is always completely captivating.
The single, solitary, disappointment comes as the credits roll, and you remember you're going to have to wait until next year to see how it ends.
Incredible action sequences. Puts Indiana Jones to shame. Must see in theaters. Maybe twice.
Imagine being a writer for a moment, one people love and praise, but being trapped in a box that the people who love your work create. Imagine in the beginning you thriving in that box, people loving you more and more, but eventually you've explored everything in the box. Now suddenly people drag you down, "why is he telling stories outside the box?" This is why season 6 took 4 years, because none of these episodes were bad, but because 3 of the 5 weren't inside the box all this hate gets written. Time to move on people, something is indeed better than nothing, and the more you complain about the theme, the closer you get to black mirror straight out ending and red mirror taking it's place, because all good writers eventually learn how to silence the haters and write with their heart, not with a gun to their head.
