It's not a terrible movie, but it's not particularly good either. Go in with low expectations and make a game of counting all the, let's say "references", to Star Wars, Warhammer 40K, Seven Samurai, Matrix and Dune. I'm sure there are a lot more movies where elements were copied and pasted from. Everything was by the numbers, bland, and I hope you really like slow mo shots. Also, the implied backstories to all of the characters sounded way more interesting than this movie
I loved how it went in a totally different direction to the movie\comics. The voice acting was a bit monotonic, but I guess that's what they were going for. The fight scenes were awesome and the humor was great.
You could skip the first 45 minutes and not miss anything consequential. It's obviously the first part of two-parter (at least) but I'm sure they could have told the whole story in one movie.
You know for sure that the bad guy was the bad guy because he used Windows
The most interesting part of this movie was the ending credits. I think I got what it was trying to say, it just wasn't for me.
Brilliant crime drama. The unfolding mystery was handled excellently.
The only thing I didn't get was... What happened to the guy that had the little girl in his shed? He was last seen giving her a sandwich. I was hoping to see that Nevra got to him.
I was there for the writers guild strike of 2007-2008. The sudden nosedive in quality around that time in Season 2 is a testament to how important good writers are to good shows. I never lost hope and stuck it out to the bitter end of season 4 but this show never recovered. Take heed of my warning. Don't go past season 2, it's simply not worth it.
