Enjoyed this tense, claustrophobic drama just fine ... until the final episode, which was unfortunate, to say the least. What possessed the writers and show-runner to produce that ludicrous end? Unforgivable.
The worst possible final episode. Simply bonkers and stupid. Ruined what had been a not half-bad series.
The Zone of Interest is a grown up story about war. This is a sophomoric history lesson and an incomplete one at that. And folks should know that there were people in New Mexico who were displaced and not compensated and others who were irradiated and not compensated either. Nolan's way of doing history does not entertain me nor does it satisfy my curiosity.
Some strikes and some hits. Entertaining enough most of the time, but not even close to matching the hype it landed with.
Why am I still watching a children's show where only Grogu can see clearly?!

Umpteen episodes in and the main character still has zero clue what he's up to. Imagine the Norse god Thor as a clumsy 18-year-old with the mental age of 13 ... and it's not a comedy. A silly juvenile affair.
What a shame. The writing of Series 2 is just not what it used to be.
Season 2 they had better find a replacement joke for "let's bully Amir".
One of the best intimate dramas of the year. All- round excellent: cast, script, editing, pacing. I hope it gets the attention it deserves. Brave!

It seems to Barbie's Jeff Koons feminism as I felt that The Zone Of Interest was to Oppenheimer... one no more than a war movie (at best), the other war art.
Lanthimos' and Stone's gifts are truly otherworldly.
Oppenheimer and Barbie truly define our time, if for no other reason than the consensus about their value is so absolute, critique feels irrelevant. As it happens I found both overlong, predictable and not nearly as sophisticated as they were purported to be. This has to be to least palatable, attractive and human way of evoking female beauty and empowerment I have ever encountered. To each their own. This was not mine at all.
It's better than Tenet. And if you disagree you deserve to go back and put yourself through 3 more hours of that trite nonsense again.
Maybe the fiction that evokes the dark spirits of contemporary Britain best. The storytelling can wonder at times, but it's an entertaining, punchy tale with some endearing characters.

Thought provoking, entertaining and unsettlingly plausible. Sharp contemporary political drama is thin in the ground by the domain of cyber warfare allows more narrative freedom clear of tiresome eight/left cul se sacs. Enjoy.
Searching, tender, moving, infuriating. This is is a very well made doc and so very well worthwhile watching. Respect and admiration for the maker.
