1. Highlander (1986) The ‘Highlander’ Connor MacLeod (Christopher Lambert) born in the Scotland in the 16th century. MacLeod is one of a number of immortals around the world empowered by an energy called the “Quickening” and only able to die if beheaded. Immortals increase their mortal power and absorb the Quickening of another by taking their head. His mentor Juan Sánchez-Villalobos Ramírez (Sean Connery) prepares him to fight in the “Gathering” where the final survivor will take the “Prize” to rule humanity.
2. Highlander II: The Quickening (1991) When Highlander II was released in 1991, it was poorly reviewed, and considered the worst movie ever made. Russell Mulcahy (director) was disappointed with the movie and later made his own “Renegade Version”. The Renegade Version is a re-edited director’s cut of “Highlander II: The Quickening”

This "Making of" featurette was included on the DVD Release of "Highlander II: The Quickening" The Renegade Version, which was director Russell Mulcahy's revision to the story arc AND a re-cut of the entire second Highlander movie that removed the dumbing-down of the plot that was demanded by the studio at the time of release.
6. Special Edition (2004) featured several distinct alterations. Though many fans regarded the Renegade Version and Special Edition as being better than the original film, the general reception was still somewhat mixed.
7. Highlander III: The Sorcerer (1994) (alternatively titled Highlander: The Final Dimension). It is a direct sequel to the original film, ignoring and contradicting the story of Highlander II.
8. Highlander: Endgame (2000) Rather than a direct sequel in the Highlander film franchise, it followed the continuity of the recently ended Highlander: The Series, acting as a franchise bridge by starring both previous film protagonist Connor MacLeod and TV series protagonist Duncan MacLeod.
9. Highlander: The Source (2007) continues the canon of Highlander: The Series, taking place several years after Endgame. The film takes place in a future version of Earth where human society has descended into violence and chaos. Duncan MacLeod and a group of allies seek an energy well in Eastern Europe that may be the legendary Source of immortality,
