i had read the book first in 2020 before knowing that it had a movie adaptation a year before. i really loved and enjoyed the book, probably one of my faves. and tbh the movie, for me, didn't gave enough justice for the book itself. i still like it tho. we can't expect to see all of the details from the book come into life in a movie which just have a span of few hours.
i know it wasn't really similar to Disney's Snow White but i much prefer watching this than the Disney's original story tbh.
i loved how each character had their own character development as the story progresses. we saw each of their stories, not just focused on the main leads but also the people around them. anddd what i really love about anne with an e is that it shows real life experiences, raw and with all its chaos and beauty. every episode is worth the watch. if i was already born in the 19th century and i had read/watch this story, it would truly be an eye-opening experience for me. :yellow_heart:
