Guys, I have a confession to make. I... I... I quite liked this episode. I mean, they still ditched my favorite part (The News) and replaced it by way too long guest stars, but the race was good fun (the old trio once joked to make race like this - "how luxurious could it be?"; in India special I suppose), car tests were fun and the rest was decent. But I have to say - my second least favorite presenter, after unbeatable Evans, of course, is Sabine Schmitz.
Maybe if he wasn't using Emacs he would be able to turn autoindent on in Vim for her, so no more spacespacespacespace.

To be honest, I think the show is little dull, not that funny, with long predictible plots. But the characters are great and lovable, I also like its happy setting and I'm curious how the plot will develop.
I love Andrew's mention of a fast-food kitchen, because that sums up what I think of the show - fast-food. Not that good, full of empty calor... minutes, but for some reason you can't get enough of it.
I don't know Black Mirror, but even this episode was quite boring, it felt... uncomfortable - in a way such scenario is no longer sci-fi in many cases. Drones can deliver packages, Roombas are scanning rooms, Teslas are driverless, there are robot restaurants in Japan (maybe somewhere else as well), look at Boston Dynamics' robots... The only missing piece really is all the stuff linked together, extorting you just for a tip.
This episode was quite lame, actually...
The trio is still finding themselves, but this season I enjoyed about the same as the first season of The Grand Tour. It took C+H+M about 4 seasons to build TG, but LB+H+R have a jump-start, so I hope for quicker start. I'm optimistic about new-new-TG so far, it really looks we're going to have 2 great car-related shows.
Much more affordable?! Iceland is by far the most expensive country I've been to so far, incl. NZ, Japan, Switzerland or Australia. Btw., a room in the ION hotel is around £470/€530/$610 a night.

This is not bad at all! They really improved by sacking Chris Evans and reducing the boy-love, so to speak. If they keep improving with this pace, I'd say season 26 might be a fair competition to The Grand Tour.
Rated "B" for Bloody Awful. Narrative with Evanses higher pitch voice sounds gay and what was going on between Evans and LeBlanc in that race made me worried it will end up in a guy love scene. It supposed to be "Ginger vs Joey" not buddies Chris and Matt. Even though LeBlanc was true highlight of the episode, he was somewhat passive and kept back (again, voice?). It was terrible caricature of Top Gear, they had a chance to build they own show, with TG bits here and there (SIRPC, Stig...) but failed to create different "personality". I'm not surprised, TG was a brainchild of now Amazon's Clarkson and Wilman.
In seasons 7 to 9 there were some good episodes, but most of the time it was like "gosh, find the mother already!". IMO the show was artificially prolonged and should ended much earlier to be truly Legendary. It's like a sportsman, who could end his career at the top, but ultimately he decide to win yet another Olympics. Year later, he's not in top 10 and even he tries really hard, he eventually didn't qualify for the next Olypics. He may win here and there, but that's it. If he ended at the top, he would be a god forever. Now he's like nobody cares. And that's HIMYM (and sort of story of quite a few sportsmen).
