If Hallmark made slasher movies.
This feels like a 65-year-old guy wrote it. It feels so old-fashioned and staid. This is so 90s-girlboss-feminism it's painful. I SO wanted to like this! I can't bring myself to watch past the first episodes, because it's just so annoying.
A mess of a script. This could have been a nice story, but sooo much time is wasted with side quests, like the main character having sex with various women, which could have been used to show how lonely he is, but no, he doesn't change or learn anything until the rushed last five minutes. What a waste of talent and money!
And part of the story hinges on Main Character not taking five seconds to google something. Instead he hires a private detective. In the year of our Lady Dolly 2022. It is wild.
This would be a fun, slightly surreal little B-movie, if they wouldn't go so hard on the torture porn in the fights. A baffling amount of gore and violence.
This is basically a clip show. Okay if you don't know much about Keaton, pretty much a waste of time if you have read or seen more about Keaton than a short biographic article.
Nice photography. Perplexing soundtrack, the composer treats this like a horror movie from minute one.
Call this "the Bronte Sisters" and then make the movie mostly about Branwell. I understand how tightly their stories are connected, but I feel I now know more about why he was depressed and drinking than anything about the inner lives of the sisters.
Would be a fantastic documentary, if you could actually hear what people say.
