This movie is based on the Anime "Kimi ni todoke" and picking up on it showcases the story of a shy and timid girl Kuronuma Sawako who is easily misunderstood as she learns how to make friends and how to deal with the life as a whole. Her only shortcoming is that all the people who talk to her are afraid of her due to the rumors of her being able to talk to ghosts and also being able to curse people which is obviously not true. She struggles to make her feelings clear to her friends and classmates and all the while being equally supported by the guy for whom she has a lot of respect for, Kazehaya. Watch as the mutual feeling's blossom into mutual love for each other. Will Kazehaya's feelings be able to reach Sawako?
The movie is simple yet effective. Take it as a copy of "The Fault in our Stars". Yet it still works and gives us a punch in the gut when we are made aware of the saddening twist.
