That was a great finale cleverly dropping classic moments from the show and adding some special surprises to really bring it all together, wrapping paper expertly folded and fastened to seal it up, and to give that gift extra pop, the ribbon and bow to depict this is a special gift for you.
Congratulations on a job well done, bringing it to one of the best finales I can think of.
Beautifully written, bringing out some of the many ways people deal with this inevitable situation and still tastefully bring humor to an otherwise unavoidable cataclysmic event for family and friends. Well done to all.
I wondered how they would do this... And it was very well done indeed. The daily, day to day, rigmorole continues... Till they don't.
Reagan 'Missy', performed the scene impeccably well.
I can't wait to see her acting bloom in future projects.
And Lance 'George Snr', had a full and interesting episode... it was a fun episode on the eve of the final two episodes that will wind the series of Young Sheldon.
I'm exhausted. This tension, the politics, the intrigue, even to the last second. So much is happening in this episode. So much concealed under such elegant garments.
In one way I look forward to the finale next week, however I'm not sure how they are going to fit what I was anticipating to be in this episode into the last, unless it is a 3hr episode, but I think it won't be such.
The other way I'm looking forward to the finale, is I no longer will need to invest all my emotion and attention in this concentration of spectacle and the craft of each Actor performing to perfection their role, and appreciating each word, glance, and interaction with their counterparts in such a magnificent, stunning location.
I'll be ready for this finale but until then I'll be soaking in what I've watched today. What a pleasure it is to witness what the Arts can deliver if given a proper opportunity.

The conundrum has set in... I desperately want to see the last episode now, but I don't want it to be the last show. 10/10
What a Bloody outstanding show! This is the first time I've ever wanted to give a show a genuine 11/10!
The writing brings out all of the respect, honour and dignity, even in deception. I love this epic and especially this episode (although once I see next week's episode I'll no doubt rave over that too), there is no dumbing down for the audience, you need to be immersed.
When 'Mariko' translating as she does 'Blackthorne's' words to 'Toranaga' and the sublime transition turning to 'Blackthorne' with eyes the sharpness of a sword, to ask "Shall I translate this too, or is this directed to me". Outstanding.
Each and every actor, no matter who they represent in this epic 'goes all in', for their character, their craft in acting is flawless. If there was any legitimacy in the Academy or in any entertainment award for actors, crew and show, Shōgun would do a clean sweep without exception, even though we still have two episodes to go.
Shōgun is definitely the pinnacle of any show I've had the privilege of watching in my six decades of life. This is not a throw away comment as I am an enthusiast in quality entertainment for most my life.
I cannot wait to own this on UHD Bluray boxset when it's released. Outstandingly Brilliant. 11/10

Masterpiece.
That's all anyone needs to know when trying to figure out if watching Shōgun is worth the time and energy.
This miniseries should be required viewing for anyone in the entertainment industry to comprehend what good story telling and construction of a series is.
This should be the bar, the gold standard in quality in every respect that shows should endeavour to achieve. Not just in historical drama but every genre!
We have had a constant diet of empty, lifeless garbage flood our screens (for the most part), expecting easy money making profits while dishing out crap.
We don't expect the lavish expense that has gone into Shōgun as the norm, but do expect decent story writing without today's continual political agenda bashing the audience. We watch shows to get lost in the world and the story being told to us.
We refuse the incessant garbage. We demand stories written by people, not a room full of monkeys, or AI and we want those writers to be passionate and well versed in the story 'world' they are writing about. No more compromise, no more 'calling it in'.
Audiences deserve better, and Shōgun piqued our desire for exceptional story telling and crafting for the screen. The vast library of modern entertainment is a waste of money and time.
It's so hard to heap enough praise on this show and do it justice. The complexity of the story, the beauty of the land. The cinematography, direction, acting from the stars to the extras, and crew giving 100% to the production of this masterpiece, it's such a pleasure to watch.

This was such an excellent episode!
It was most definitely a deep and expansive foundational narrative for the whole saga. The nuances, the meaning, spiritual significance, and subtleties I fear of certain acts of this episode are lost to the viewer.
I would imagine the significance would only reveal itself to those that have read Clavell's book prior to watching this amazingly crafted miniseries.
My hope is more of Clavell's Asian Saga is made with the same detail and love that Shōgun is clearly made and acted.
My further wish is this beautifully crafted series challenges others to put their heart and soul into future movies/series that rivals the quality we have in this miniseries. While at the same time putting the sword to the trash we've had to endure as quality entertainment enthusiasts seeking our next love, and yet being disappointed time and time again.
It started fine. But the last couple episodes have dragged. Yes we get, or got the concept by the end of the episode 4 or 5.
I like slow burn stories but this one is to the point of someone blowing on the embers to keep a spark going.
If there's talk of a season 2, I won't be around for it.
The strange relationship the Sheriff and the Deputy always a crack up.
And poor Harry having to contend with what's going on with Heather and this new little sh!t ready to cause problems.
She's got to know handcuffs won't help.
I gotta say I miss Sahar.
Was her departing have anything to do with these new relationships introduced for the 'Agenda' that's become as boring as dry grass? It just makes me want to follow Harry and DIE.
We need Max to save the day.

Explosive and side splitting throughout.
A lot of political gaming going on and some laugh out loud moments. I wasn't expecting that at all but funny nonetheless.
I get more excited and eager for each episode as we progress. A brilliant show.
The subtitles are the only thing that detracts from really enjoying the acting and the spectacle. But there is no other way, as dubbing to English would be a much bigger disappointment and cheapen the quality of this series.
What is more enticing is Shōgun will get better as the mini-series progresses. Truly a brilliantly made and acted show.
What an amazing show... beautifully shot, costumes and props are amazing, and the Cast - - Wow, you can tell they are putting their craft into top gear.
Anna Sawai is excelling in this role... she is far more engaged than in 'Monarch Legacy...'.

Darker... And weirder. The aftermath of last week is easily relateable to. Going into dark cavities no-one ever should but more than likely does at one point in time.
This show always astounds me of where they explore and it always makes me laugh out loud.
There's always some great ... how should I describe them... 'Wonder Years' moments. After all, aren't we all aliens when we first arrive on this earth but as we grow we begin to acclimate ourselves to the world and those surrounding us. Perhaps that's why I love this show so much because I can see so much of ourselves in 'Harry'.

Reacher doing a little Robin Hood at the end of the ep...a nice touch.
I might have to start getting into the books, 23 of them so far. I'd be happy with another 20+ seasons of Reacher and from what I understand the books reflect Reacher's age too. So as we get deeper into the books we should see some natural aging issues going on too, which makes sense, not being a cartoon like 'The Simpsons', never aging.
I really hope Dixon stays a regular along with Neagley...
Yes, season 1 is locked in, done. Over all a drag.
But having said that I need to give Mari Yamamoto the crown for best overall acting performance of the whole season of the whole cast, being exposed with reality and time and talking to a tree. Sincerely excellent acting.
But then the highlight of the season unfortunately came in the last 10sec of the final episode.
If they are going to do a season 2 of this show may I suggest they take inspiration from Godzilla Minus One and to drop the soap opera of the show and maybe show some guts and kill off the three most annoying characters... Brother, sister and girlfriend... especially girlfriend.
Nah... Keep it to being Ended. Don't do a season 2...it's not worth it. It's just crap and has nothing of interest here.

Loved the fake out of the silencer... classic! People who haven't got firearms knowledge would get sucked in to that, just like in reality those unknowledgeable in firearms think that AR-15's sold in the US are military grade 'Auto Rifles', they are not... they only have similar cosmetic styling as an auto firearm.
Similarly why did Russo do what he did? In situations like that there would be an unknown time frame when he and the girl would be flanked. If there was only one or two shooters you could stay in the one place. I'm not sure if he is, or is not,... we shall see.
And why did Reacher stand in the middle calling out the boss? Because he'd already got rid of the shooters and now he was calling out the desk bound dumbass boss who is Not a shooter. And he had some idea where he was.
If you have situational awareness and some understanding of tactical, it would all make sense. Some may nit-pik otherwise but Reacher is a show that shows off the expertise in the writing of the show and that's why it's such a great show, and Season 3 is already in pre-production.
