Two decades ago when Paul Walker showed up in one of the first scenes of the first movie with that green Mitsubishi Eclipse and launched this cult movie franchise, never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that one day Charlize Theron and Helen Mirren would star in it. I watched every movie and spin-off of this franchise and will continue to do so as long as they keep making more. So much nostalgia and so much fun.
Turn off your brain and enjoy the absurdity!
great cars.. great stars...great magnets. what else do you need?
The Fast and Furious franchise has, since quite a few movies back, abandoned all pretense of being anything but silly, unrealistic, action extravaganzas. That means that these movies are not to everyone’s taste (which no movies really are for that matter) but it seems a lot of those people have watched this movie anyway and then pretends to be surprised.
Those who give this movie one star ratings have obviously never seen a real one star movie and those asshats that start their review with “I left after xx minutes” are just trolls. If you have not watched the movie, all of it, don’t write a bloody “review”.
To me this movie was pretty much what I expected. Perhaps even a bit more silly and over the top than the previous ones, not that this was much of a surprise, but still more or less what I expected.
It has a half decent, quite predictable, story that’s just good enough to tie the action sequences together. I do whish stupid Hollywood writers that probably never finished basic school would stop write stories with their favorite “device yyy which can take over all electronics” bullshit in them. Apart from being total scientific nonsense it is really, really overused.
Vin Diesel is Vin Diesel. I cannot remember many, if any, movies where I have not liked his character. His team is pretty likable as well although some of their silly shenanigans and ramblings was indeed a bit tiresome from time to time.
The core of the movie is of course the action and special effects. Sure, they are incredibly over the top and for the most of the time you have to put your brain in idle when watching them but if you, like me, like special effects this is a movie for you. The silly scene where the bad guys “tank train” flipped over was a bit too much for me as well but on the whole I enjoyed the action.
I was not too thrilled with all the flashbacks but then I almost never like flashbacks and there was plenty of them in this movie.
I would have liked Chipher to have a bigger role in the movie. She is cool as well as intelligent which is not something that really could be said about Dom’s brother. The main bad guy was just a jerk and not very charismatic. Hollywood really seems to have a problem writing good bad guys lately.
Overall, this was some well spent almost two and a half hours (I watched the directors cut). I quite enjoyed this movie.
Finally an actual good FF with a decent story. Sure it's still FF, but with the backstories from the first few. Solid movie.

Without too high expectations caused by the reviews I saw here I was actually pleasantly surprised with F9. The series has changed obviously, losing its core values a bit in the last couple of movies in my opinion. F9 actually did a good job for me in bringing these values back in focus. Sure, it still contains action scenes that are over the top. But going deeper into the history of the characters, of which we heard small details in previous installments, restored the balance between pure brainless action and an actual backstory for me. I miss the original style, but I'm glad overall of what they delivered with F9. A bit more 'old school' street racing would be nice however. I hope they will wrap it up as announced with the next 2 films though, as it really should come to a close sooner than later for the sake of the series. (might be a bit overdue already however..)
Just saw it today in a 4dx theater,to enjoy this movie or this franchise in over all,you have to let go of logic, physics or any other law of nature...just see it as it is a group of friends having fun cool action scenes together.. can't wait for f10 to see who else will join the family (or brought back, Gal Gadet is the only dead cast now who haven't return yet,lol)...
PS. wait for the after credit scene there's another surprise cameo.
It’s FF so don’t expect logic. They keep the trend of ridiculousness from past 8 movies alive but they kick it up by 9 squared. Turn off your brain. Don’t look for logic. And get ready for stupid entertainment.
Seriously this shit is better than majority of the crap that’s been released in past 1.5 years. I wish I saw it in the theater.
Can’t wait to see what nonsense they come up with for F10…going to be all kinds of stupid good.
How do you review a movie like F9? At this point in the series, if you buy a ticket, you know what you're getting into. The pretense of being a serious crime drama of the early installments is gone. You are just going to get a wild ride.
...and sometimes that is okay.
I’m the first to criticize the films in this series. I think the second film might actually be the worst movie ever committed to celluloid. Or videotape. Or streaming. You know what I mean. I think the characters are hard to follow...are they alive or dead? That’s flexible. Never since Star Trek did a cast feel so much like a diversity checklist. I feel like marketing came in and said, “Okay, we need an African American….but can we make them Muslim? That gets us two checkmarks…”
That’s not to say the characters aren’t fun. I actually find Tyrese Gibson’s character fun....but notice I don’t know the character’s name? Or Ludacris? Or Vin Diesel...who I know is Dom, but I find that character so tedious, that I’ve been cheering for the Rock to come and knock him off since the fifth installment. Oh, please, please, please, let that happen.
But these movies are not about character development. They are about MacGuffins. For the uninitiated, a MacGuffin is a plot device...an object in a movie script (which I heard this movie actually had) that all the characters in the film want. In the 60s these were generally briefcases with files. Pulp Fiction actually brought that back. In the 70s, microfilm was a favorite. Nowadays, you see disks and USB drives fairly often. Even Star Wars had a MacGuffin or did you forget that movie was all about recovering the plans to the Death Star?
In this movie, our MacGuffin is some sort of weird globe that was cut in two. It needs to be recovered because if the two halves are reunited with an activating key, you can … well, you can rule the world. Basic Bond villain stuff here. What I get a kick out of is people ripped into James Bond in the late 90s for this kind of nonsense and pointed to the grittiness of movies like Fast and the Furious as the new feel for action films. Now, the two franchises have nearly switched seats (some would say for the detriment of both.)
While Bond typically did its stunts practically, the outlandish visual nonsense you are subjected to in these flicks appear to be primarily cartoons. The attachment to physics, particularly this installment’s questionable approach to magnetism, is tenuous at best. But you just have to keep repeating to yourself, “I’m the idiot that bought the ticket. And I’ve done it eight times before. So I’m supporting this crap. It’s my fault.”
I actually laughed out loud at the movie’s insane stunts (if you can call output from a PS4 game, which these sometimes resembled, a stunt) more than a couple comedies I’ve seen recently. I should mention, by the way, that the CGI, while it annoys me, is excellent in the film. It looks as realistic as you can expect at the state of the art and these visual artists should really be commended for making the completely unrealistic situations in the film appear feasible.
If I ever fall off the top of a building, I’m going to look for a car to fall onto; apparently, they are made of mats and foam because they broke some pretty insane falls in this flick.
John Cena should be commended with playing the part of...well, let’s get real. Vin Diesel and Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson can’t be in the same room anymore, so they needed a replacement and Cena is freakishly gigantic, too. But he did well with his “heel turn” here playing the heavy. (Yet another trope of action films this movie is slave to. The rich “true villain” hires muscle, or the “heavy,” to perform the heavy lifting.) Charlize Theron is back, too, from whichever installment she was in. She is oddly taking this all very seriously. I’m not sure if she doesn’t know these movies are a joke or she’s intent on playing straight in hopes it comes off all the more jarring by doing so.
References to family, of course, dot the script but not to the nauseating extent some previous installments. F9 really feels like a movie put together by a creative team that has looked at the franchise and have specifically picked the things that have worked and punctuating those notes while shaving off a lot of the junk that didn’t work. For those that love the “saga” aspects of our characters’ continuing tales, that stuff is here, though I tend to watch these all as standalone films since the ongoing story is just as ridiculous as everything else. I know there was one reveal, in particular, that was total fan service and I thought “This is just proof I’m not a Millenial. I don’t care at all about this character. Can we move on?”
So did I like it? I hate myself for it, but yeah, it was fun. The action is well filmed and there is a ton of it. You can have a lot of fun with these films if you let yourself. So let go of logic and intelligence, sit back with your popcorn, and watch cars act like you used to zoom around your toy cars as a child. Remember, I’m the idiot that bought the ticket. And I’ve done it eight times before. So I’m supporting this crap. It’s my fault.
Didn’t the filmmakers remember what happened to the Friday the 13th franchise after Jason went to space ! I read that F10 will pick up seconds after the “snap” and the F &F grew will be recruited to take out Thanos and restore the universe!!
I liked how they moved away from action movie to a comedy
Damn, he took a dodge to the jungle. Next time I’m in the jungles, I’m taking my Dodge.
my brother in christ there is not a single story long enough that would require this many movies, let it be DONE and over with, it should've all ended with the seventh part, god damn
Why do they always split superweapon maguffins into two pieces and then keep the pieces instead of utterly destroying them?
Hm, I don't get the lower ratings. This is a solid 7 for me - maybe even a 7.5/10. It doesn't feel really different from the other FF movies for me (or rather they kept changing over time and this just continues that change).
Is it realistic? No (the physics are completely off)
Does the story make much sense? No
Should this be surprising and was that different in the past? No
IMO the FF franchise was always about cars, action, and hot girls (plus comedy, music, and family). The focus changed more towards action and entertainment/comedy but the overall concept didn't really change.
Anyway, let's get to it.
Physically, it makes absolutely no sense, as always (the magnets would generate a counter force, car physics aren't that crazy, Dom's ridiculous "too soon", etc.).
The scenery is nice.
Dom has a brother.
Mia is back <3 And Brian is still mentioned <3 Taking care of their kids :)
There are two second cars now :D
Han is back! <3 I always hoped for it but didn't expect it anymore... His death was never for certain so I'm glad this is finally resolved :) And I'm especially happy that Han got to tell his story / explained what happened <3 Elle is super cool, I'm glad that Han still cares about people. And he's even reunited with Sean (I only recognized Sean for sure at the end though).
Mia got some action scenes and was driving for a bit <3
And last but not least: Some fun lines:
Shaw and Han(?) at the end got me confused.
This is avenger in disguise
Magnets, how do they work?
not a single scratch on the family, they are really invincible.
bombs explode, cars crash, buildings collapse. nothing can hurt them. 6.5/10
Ranking these Fast and Furious movies.
"Be precise in life. It makes all the difference."
To think that this franchise started out with street races and 20 years later they are shooting cars into outer space and are driving around rampaging through cities using magnets? DAAAAMN.
F9 has Justin Lin returning to the franchise and he directed my favorite entries in them, it has Sung Kang back as Han which is always awesome, Michael freaking Rooker!!! They missed the opportunity to have Jakob (John Cena) stand in front of Dom (Vin Diesel) and do the "You can't see me" gesture followed by a FU and finished off with the legendary "Five Knuckle Shuffle". I even enjoyed the return of Jordana Brewster. Best scene? Dom giving the keys to Jakob to a 10-second car. Love call backs! And in the end I still enjoy the humor and Corona.
The Fast franchise might have turned up to 11 with everything I do love they keep the "Family" the same. Now I'm hoping for a return of Dwayne Johnson in the final two parts.
They drove an suv on a falling wooden bridge & drove it in a vertical climb. Where can I buy this car?
A fun action movie, but it's just so stupid. Especially when they start talking about anything technical. It sounds like they are reading from a dictionary. Just bad. But still enjoyable and not boring.
For a moment I thought I was watching Justice League. Every character is a superhero.
The plot armor is so thick that they even make fun of it directly in the movie
Never seen a Fast and Furious movie, all I knew going in was cars, Vin Diesel as Dom and FAMILY. Left confused but entertained.
I can say only one thing
family
Dom (Vin Diesel) doesn’t only suddenly have a brother named Jacob (John Cena). He also has friends all over the world that half the film spends time introducing us to.
I lost track of what was going on half way through since the film is all over the place. It is as entertaining as any of the others despite the film being the silliest one.
We never needed a XXX sequel when the Fast & Furious films have turned into XXX, Bond, The Italian Job and now cars in space.
I also felt like the Don and Jacob storyline was predictable since the first trailer a year ago.
I'd say this is definitely in the top 9 of all Fast movies
Hahahahahahahaha. Well I got what I was expecting. As the franchise goes forward the film's get more ridiculous every time.
I had fun and enjoyed the movie but found myself rolling my eyes through several scenes like "really?".
Predictable story, missing Brian, Shaw and Hobbs results in one of those Sunday movies that we just watch.
Story short, when you have family you don't need physics!
okay it's the fact and furious and we all know it's not going to be realistic... but this one might've gone way to far into the ozone layer, literally. no spoiler but just very ridiculous in most of the storyline. the turetto back story and brother part was good, actually. and it's star studded and then some. it's a fast movie, maybe could've used some more real driving to stay more on point with the franchise. but eh. if you like the fast and furious franchise ridiculous or not. you're going like it.
The one where they jump into space.
If you gotta NOS something. NOS through space. I like how they had to tell us they looked like minions in those outfits because no one would get the joke otherwise but it's another universal property so they had to get it in somewhere.

F9 speeds onto the screen with a mix of excitement and disappointment. While I wouldn't label it as the worst installment in the franchise, it certainly lacks the punch and adrenaline rush, especially after the high note that Fast 7 played.
The film's action sequences feel disjointed, failing to jolt the anticipated adrenaline rush. The opening sequences attempted to burst into high-octane moments with explosions and spectacle, but they never really delivered the gripping excitement expected. The subsequent action scenes veer into run-of-the-mill territory, especially in the process of the Avengers-like assembling of characters with the return of Mia and Han. Many action sequences feel arbitrary, lacking narrative purpose.
However, to the film credits, the action gains momentum in its second half after the team assembled. The Fast franchise always has gimmicks and here's where the film's gimmick comes into play - electromagnetic tricks. The creative use of this concept in the final battle injects some much-needed freshness in an otherwise stale action sequences.
What makes F9 a very dull Fast film is its attempt at adopting a darker tone, which falters heavily. The pivotal brotherly feud between Dom and Jakob lacks the necessary kick for the audience to care enough about the newly introduced character. The underdeveloped relationship fails to justify the character introspection and moments of fragility. The actors struggle to convey the conflict, hindered by lackluster scripts and dialogue.
This darker tone is contrasted to the usual Fast humor and banter which fail to maintain a nice blend of tonal consistency. There is an appreciable attempt to satirize the implausibility of the characters' invincibility, a self-awareness that permeates the film. However, it feels too on-the-nose as the script repeats the point on and on.
In the end, F9 doesn't reach the heights of its predecessors, lacking in both thrilling action and bogged down by its attempt to be serious and darker. While it has its moments, it falls short of delivering the exhilarating experience fans have come to expect from the Fast & Furious franchise. If you wanted to watch F9, I suggest to skip right onto the second half. You won't miss anything.
Guys. I haven't watched any other FF except maybe the first one back in the days. WTH happened in between in production? :joy:
Btw, if you can accept all the crazy, CRAZY nonsense sh¡t that happens, beyond any possible imagination and real-world physics and chances of things to happen, you'll have a good time. FX are just great. It's hard tho. You really have to unplug your brain, way more than Marvel's.:dizzy:
The plot armors here are insane, and it was so funny that even the character at some point realize that they escaped certain death without a scratch, and think they're somehow invincible. This is meta writing. The writers know what they do is nonsense and they enjoy it. Enjoy it too! Appreciate it for what it is, not everything has to be serious :fire:
A jet catching a flying car in mid-air, people jumping from car to car in trafic, car magnets, a whole lot of cringe family drama and we officially enter the sci-fi genre. Loved that, they embrace the ridiculousness and that's when these movies are at their best. The cast is so big, the acting is worse than ever, Helen Mirren is a badass, John Cena can't act for shit and Roman & Tej are the MVPs. First act worked great for me, the middle is incredibly long and sometimes hard to get through. Last third is pure action bonanza silly crazyness entertainment. The movie suffers when our main characters aren't in a scene. It was way too long, feels like a LOTR movie at this point a lot of the stuff in the middle could have been cut out.
"You put your foot to that floor, and you pray!"
"My ass is in fuego!"
shitty movie that is worse than every other one which makes no sense in every way possible, still fun to watch just not very good
Japanese title: Wild Speed Jet Break.
This is the one with John Cena as the bad guy, where they have a sports car fly in space, where they use giant magnets to throw other cars around, and where they manage to flip a huge centipede armored truck just by driving into each side with two different cars. The action scenes and dramatic moments are hilarious, but the middle part with the “plot” is too slow and anticlimactic. Although the action scenes and impossible situations are dangerously close to the so-bad-it's-good apex, you can feel that everyone is getting a little tired of the same routine. I miss you, The Rock.
Guilty pleasure score: 7
Actual score: 3.5
Final score: 6
F9 is the craziest, most outrageous entry in the franchise yet (and that’s saying something). When Mr. Nobody goes missing while transporting Cypher, after capturing her, he sends a secret message to Dom’s crew, leading them to chase after an incredibly powerful weapon. Jordana Brewster and Sung Kang return to the series, and are joined by John Cena; but no one stands out, as the cast is just too bloated. And the writing is just terrible, particularly in how it retcons the series to try to make this story work. Also, the CGI is pretty poor, making a lot of the action sequences look fake. Yet the fight scenes and car chases are extraordinarily fun and audaciously entertaining. A popcorn film that you have to turn your brain off to enjoy, F9 is a ridiculously stupid, but also thrilling, ride.
Like I always say, there should've just kept with the first two because now it just seems make up the story as they go, shove a big cast in and make it too obvs that it's not possible to do some of the action and only made for the money and become cheesy and a joke. Vin Diesel, I think you should slow down and end it there. I can't say I didn't enjoy the action and it was nice to see old familiar cast from other films in the franchise but defo wasn't anything brilliant.
Over the Top Action Movie without showing blood feels like a Disney movie. Kinda boring. Felt no danger for any actor in all this action scenes.
it's more a less what I expected. The action was fun and in similar vain as 7 and 8. Great set pieces and some genuinely amusing moments. I don't get why people are complaining about the lack of realism. The Fast franchise threw that idea out the window many movies ago. It was nice to see Han back but felt kind of like he was just shoehorned in conveniately though. Plot was incredibly lazy and generic.
Cast did an acceptable job. flashbacks and relation to Nascar was odd especially considering Dom is a streetracer.
5/10 Underwhelming with some fun action scenes but that's about it. Another soulless Hollywood production.
yeah waaay too much xD but ain't mad, uk the thrill and the fun is always present in the fast n furious movies BUT THEY DEFINITELY NEED TO CHILL YO XDDD
"it's all in the numbers .. it's physics" the character said, as he defies physics ...
I hope they just stop.. enough fast and furious
this movie obviously was ridiculous and over the top but hey it as enjoyable and fun to watch. that ending got me sooooo excited and then it was cut :( that was the only scene that i was so excited for and i can't wait to see how F10 is gonna be like and i hope they try to ground it for old times sake as a tribute or something but i'll watch it regardless so!
They make up a brother for Toretto and that Han is still alive. Even with scenes the incredible ones than the others. As Roman well says "How is it possible that we could have gotten out of everything without a scratch." Just as enjoyable as the others. With post-credits scene
FML I know I went to see Fast and Furious and I expected to see some ridiculous scenes but they sent a car into space to knock out a satellite dish . Were the writers high?
Did Dom and his brother have different mums or Dads as that wasn't explained at all
The original Fast and Furious was the best and the more they make the more they need to outdo the last one.
F10 will have time travel and dinosaurs in it.
“Y'all ever thought about how many wild missions we been on? How we somehow... always survive?
Think about this. We've now been on insane missions around the world, doing what most would say is damn near impossible.
And I ain't got one single scar to show for it?”
The above quote, in my opinion, perfectly sums up the film. A good action flick should keep you on the edge of your seat, with adrenaline coursing through your veins. However, this is the most monotonous and uninteresting picture I've seen this year. You don't experience any emotion at all, and everything feels forced. Actions appear to have no repercussions, and everyone is as strong and fortunate as the writing requires at the time. There is no sense of impending doom or dread.
The acting is becoming increasingly mediocre; and the more the film attempts to push the "Family" narrative, the more unbearable the experience becomes. There are no noteworthy moments, just cliché after cliché. This franchise has come a long way from its beginnings, but not in any appreciable way. There's nothing wrong with crafting a simple action film that doesn't take itself too seriously and serves primarily as entertainment, but this is a poor attempt.
5.0/10 (Worst in the Franchise thus far)
The audacity of Tej suggesting the laws of physics are relevant within the world of Fast & Furious.
I usually like these movies even if the story and logic sucks, but this time they decided to dump logic out the window and make it as unrealistic as possible at the same time it wasn't as fun and the jokes fell flat. It was missing the fun of the last few movies, and maybe the lack of Jason Statham also killed it.
Fast & Furious has become so over-the-top that I wouldn’t be surprised if the next installment featured car chases on the moon.
If you fast forward your way through this dumb flick you won't be so furious at the end. Its the end of the road for this franchise, surely!
Watching the previous movies I expected a "meh" movie but this is even worse that that. They have gone too far with the no logic, wtf scenes. At this point please end the franchise... After the sixth movie it's been a downhill.
This is just an absolutely ridiculous movie. I'll let you interpret that however you like. It was fun to see Mirren in this.
How I rate:
1-3  = seriously! don't waste your time
4-6  = you may or may not enjoy this
7-8  = I expect you will like this too
9-10  = movies and TV shows I really love!
The story is just too far fetched. The stunts are too far fetched. I think that's the end of the franchise for me. Just too ridiculous :unamused:
Started watching it on a plane so I decided to finish it. Having not seen any of the Fast and Furious movies since basically the first one, I didn't get much of the actual story but I was in it for the fast cars and ridiculous action scenes.
"As long as we obey the laws of physics, we'll be fine."
I keep thinking they won't get more ridiculous than the previous one but they keep going there. There are some moments where I actually chuckled at how stupid this was but I guess that is what they are going for.
Music is a total crap, never racers listens to this auto tuned shite. Also most of action scenes are like old Chinese movies, physics just doesn’t exists in here. Ordinary people turned to super heroes who can withstand anything, jumping from burning trucks, look at the explosion with zero impact.. it’s very lame. Story is not bad though, ideas for some tech are not bad too, but that car in the space is a really bad joke.
I don't know where the fun and joy of the "Fast & Furious" movies disappeared to in "F9". Here, everyone in front of and behind the camera seems to be working on autopilot. Vin Diesel doesn't appear to be in the mood to do this film at all. Furthermore, in every shot, it looks like his face was altered with some half-baked deaging technology. And was he ever even on set with the other actors? New to the cast is John Cena as Dom's brother Jacob; siblings you've never heard of are part of every daily soap, after all. Unfortunately, Cena isn't allowed to be funny; he just doesn't work for me in serious roles. The return of Charlize Theron's Cipher isn't something I'm excited about either.
I did like a few things, though, like the return of the "Tokyo Drift" crew. Also, Sung Kang finally gets to be in the mix again. And I love that the series is finally going into space. Of course, that's incredibly stupid, but I definitely prefer it a thousand times over the dull main storyline. Of the action sequences, the only one that sticks in my mind is the one with the magnets, which are very picky about what they pull towards them and what not. But it's better than every single hand-to-hand fight scene. I don't know if the series has another entertaining movie in it; this one definitely wasn't one.
The first The Fast and the Furious parts were really great, unfortunately they get worse every time and this part can't be surpassed in absurdity.
WTF was that? Action, Crime, Thriller?? Why they didn't mar it as sci-fi, or sometimes even fantasy. Maybe if it was comedy, it would be accurate. Car made by bunch of home handymen went to space, guy on the top of the truck hit by street sign without he even notice. very bad car accident Dom without seatbelt and he doesn't have even scratch. Sure he held steering wheel, so it's ok. They talk about Brian like nothing Save your time and don't watch this
I Definitely DO NOT recommend watching this movie. It is forgettable, even if you are a fan of the franchise.
Space cars? I swear to God, don't watch this movie high. You'll have a bad trip.
Watch it medium or sober instead, you'll still laugh your ass off.
I swear to God this Francise died before Paul Walker did. No disrespect.
Yet, I still watch them. Just to see what crazy shit they'll think of next.
I knew what I was getting into, but the attempts at deep one liners and poor acting by the peripheral characters took me out of it. Obviously the action is next level over the top, but the idea isn't to be realistic it's to be entertaining. They really try to high wire the balance between high octane thrills and brain-numbing absurdity and the latter took over for me. 5.4
This has to be the weakest one so far. I'm actually all in with the crazyness and nonsense action and physics; but the story one here felt pretty thin. The flashbacks, at least for me, ruined them a little bit; and all the feud between brothers was meh. The "main mission" felt pretty much the same in as in F7 and F8 so, nothing new. It remained unclear what happened to Kurt Russell and it was never addressed. This time, the "cars" factor was even lesser than in previous films. The only good points for me were when Leo and Santos met Dom in the flashback (giving at least a hint from where they came from); the reunion between Han and the crew (and between Han and Sean, which was awesome on it's own note); and the final scene where supposedly Brian was arriving (it acually made me smile even tho i knew i wouldn't see him). Beyond that, even for FF standards felt weak and forgettable. Definetly goes to the bottom of the list
Only good think about this movie is Charlize Theron. This movie is bullshit crap of movie. I still don't get it, how they got Charlize Theron to join this failure.
YOUNG DOM WAS GREAT! This isn’t a good movie, but it’s a fun watch. If your in the cinema and you want to see a movie, watch wrath of man instead
Totally BS. Another One. They should stop making it. Didnt see it yet, and i dont going to see it in theathers after that trailer.
Going to wait for webcopy, because money for this guys its a crime.
Another great movie to watch on lazy sunday sleeping in the couch
I think they have finally gone to far with these movies, it’s time to stop making them!
Oh my god...there actually did it.
'F9' is wild, bonkers, fun, stupid, and really stupid. However, nine movies in, I fully accept its ridiculousness, and for the shake of your insanity, you should too.
It's funny how nobody really dies in these movies, and how the movie explains why a certain characters is somehow alive makes no sense at all. There's always betrayal in the "family" but at the end it's alright. The soundtrack is different in every movie but it sounds the same.
Honestly, I'm interested how ridiculous it can go.
Helen Mirren is right when she said "You don't really need to act in these movies. It's good fun".
A ridiculous and unoriginal doomsday plot, poor acting, unrealistic English accents (US stereotypes), action scenes that are so over the top they are ludicrously implausible and characters with names like “Mr. Nobody”. Really? I think this franchise has run its course. Please stop.
Good grief, please undo this movie and save Charlize Theron's career. Please!
that was just shitty
Fast & Furious has out-CG'd the Marvel franchise.
and WTF is with all those magnets?
just horrible
Another horrible part in the slow and senior citizen franchise. The only reason i watch them is because i have nothing to watch at that time.
Glad i didn't pay for this crap
It keep getting worse, this franchise is such a suite of random action movies now.
Actually one of the worst films I’ve ever seen
This movie is a joke, and they know that.
I miss the old days with Mia and Brian, when it all started, the real good jokes, the action, when it was all about the real street racing... This isn't it anymore... They're ruining Paul's legacy. :(
They should've stopped when Paul died, to honor him.
absolut low point. excessive and bad made CGI. But the CGI was still better than the plot.
But more unlikely than the car in space was, that the police in London drives BMW ;-)
Despite my growing discontent with the trajectory of this franchise, I stooped to curiosity and watched this latest movie. My response? They need to stop making these movies! They have so devolved from all that was good about them to become unrecognizable. It’s a waste of money and star power. They are just phoning it in. Please stop! It’s an embarrassment. I give this film a 4 (silly) out of 10. [Action]
WHAT IS THIS SHIT? ABSOLUTE GARBAGE.
Ughhhh...I really wanted to like this movie. I really tried. But it's the same garbage over and over. Go back to what made this franchise!!! THE SPORTS CARS AND STREET RACING. Not explosions, guns, etc. So dumb. Sigh....They killed this franchise.
The bar was low from the previous films, but this was a step down. Can they at least try to make it a little bit plausible?
They're honestly not trying any more.
This is like they had a fourteen year old write the script for a cartoon.
Or as Dom would have put it: It's family the family of the family and I family hope they family making any family.
Magnets!??! How do they work?
I think it's time to put the F&F franchise to bed now. The storylines have been getting worse as the series has progressed and this is probably rated as one of the worst. What started out as a bunch of street racing outlaws has turned into something you would expect from Marvel with super heroes saving the world.
If you're into cars and speed then this is one to avoid. If you like super heroes and the most insane of storylines that even give James Bond movies a run for their money then you'll love this.
The one saving grace of the movie is the CGI but the plot scores a big fat zero. Over hyped for too long and should really have been left on the cutting room floor.
I've watched every F&F movie and I've never felt the need to rant about them. Were they good? **** no! But a majority of them had some subjective enjoyment to them. There's been plenty of commentary about how it's just got outlandish. They even poke fun at it in their movies. However when you go on with a brother that became some kind of chaotic ex-government agent, and you need to go to space to defeat them. I kinda just lose faith. I mean come on. Some of the flashbacks to Dom & Jakobs childhood and relationship with their father was a nice touch. But you've just tried to push a bad guy for no reason. He somehow goes from fixing a race and accidentally killing his old man, to being a mother****ing super secret agent and then turning? For some reason? That's not explained. It's absolutely ridiculous. There's so much that could've been done to improve this movie. It clearly had a good potential storyline. But so much was shoved into it that was absolutely unnecessary. F&F brings back Mia to just have another familiar face and make it feel like Paul Walker was still alive but you could've at least done some scenes about her and Jakobs relationship together, to actually make it feel like you're not jerking to ex-14 year old boys (Including me) nostalgia of watching F&F in the movies 10 years ago.
I know they've planned another movie, and it would honestly surprise me if it didn't continue further, but this is getting kinda crazy.
Worst fast and furious installment ever
I never expected there to be such a bad Fast and Furious movie.
Wow, what a pile of horseshit.
The plot (and I'm being generous by calling it that) is beyond ridiculous and nonsensical. The acting is either phoned in by actors who CAN act (Ms Mirren) or stinks up the screen by those who CANNOT act... I'm looking at you John Cena.
This is 2hr 20mins I'll never get back that I can add to the 10+ hours this crappy franchise has stolen from me. I rate only the first and the fifth as being slightly memorable in the least.
More fool me for continuing to watch this trash.
Oh, and before I go, I heard someone in the production crew saying that Vin Diesel calls from time to time and has deep conversations about what and where in life Dom would be... Seriously.
They should all be ashamed of themselves. Fucking adult toddlers thinking any of this is actually worth the slightest measure of positivity to the world.
A horrendous waste of time. If they make a 10th and it stays on this trajectory, it'll be the worst destruction of an original idea since Die Hard... Actually scratch that. This is wanky crap and always has been. It'll be just the empty-minded hollow nonsense that it deserves to be.
3/10
John Cena can't act so he fits right in with the franchise!!
FAMILY!!! That's what it's all about eh??
I thought previous instalments had some far fetched sequences but JESUS did this one not disappoint for that. In some movies you can say "Really? That's stupid" but in this one you just want to laugh as how stupid it really is. Without spoilers, the space car scene was just absolutely idiotic....They were street racers!! I mean it's just so bad it's entertaining.
That being said it took me 3 attempts to watch it due to being plain bored with the plot. But then again who watches this rubbish for a plot hahaha.
In F10 the gang travel through a black hole to stop an evil alternate version of The Rock from concurring the world with his giant Gorilla, Jason Apeman!!!
shit was trash. Just like the last few smh. Glad I didn't pay to watch. Will continue to watch the first 4 which I love.
Very very disappointing. While FF6 7 and 8 introduced coherence, action and a good touch of humour, this last opus is completely insipid, horribly complex and very badly shot, without humour and where the action has nothing to do with Fast and Furious. After 30 minutes, we are bored. I'm going back to Shawn and Hobbs or FF5678 for some freshness. To be avoided.
The only good thing about this movie is Theron’s haircut.
A movie about shitting on the laws of physics just to tell a shitty story about some boring and meaningless family drama.
swol bois into these cosplaying cartoons (get it....get it?) got no place taking the piss outa furries or "bronies" - makes about as much sense
Bad acting, horrible script, and corny action/cgi. Haven’t watched about the last 6-7, didn’t know it got this bad. Remember the first 2 being entertaining ???
I mean what a piece of trash !! it is unbeliavable.
Did a bunch of stoned teenagers write this movie?...it's so so ridiculous :joy::rofl::sweat_smile:
I bet Dom & crew could take on the avengers and win.
Jesus christ this movie is bad. The fight scenes are especially awful. These dudes are literally tackling one another off of really high rooftops and just landing and getting up like it's nothing over and over again. WHY DOES VIN DIESEL SUDDENLY HAVE SUPER STRENGTH? He is literally throwing grown men six feet in the air by their shirts and then he PULLED DOWN THE INSIDE OF A BUILDING ON TOP OF HIMSELF. WTF IS THIS MOVIE?
I've watched the Fast series of movies with declining interest since Fast 3 as the crew gradually transforms from being a crew of car thieves into an outfit that is now more MI than the IMF team!! I mean seriously! You've always had to suspend belief and logic for the Fast movies (especially anything around the laws of physics) but this movie is just plain terrible. Limp script, phone-in acting performances and clearly works on the pretext that a succession of fast paced ridiculous action sequences make for a good movie. Quite why they had to make it at all baffles me, let alone make it 143 minutes long. Dom, for someone who never bloody shuts up about family, SUDDENLY reveals, in the 9th movie, that he has a brother, I mean FFS! They should really call it a day and kill this franchise off now, even if they don't, I have!
F9 is a baby sitter who thinks you're 5 years younger than you are and treats you like a baby when it spoon feeds you a story that is so unrealistic you'll gag on it when it comes back up.

These motherfuckers went to space in a car. 10 stars.
