Very interesting concept about art coming to life. I feel as if the movie wasn't used to it's full potential it never really fully dove into the idea and rolled with it kind of just danced around it to create mystery which was there but also could have been utilized better. I feel this movie missed the mark at times where maybe music or a better score or something could have been used better in certian scenes to make the particular scene scarier or more tense and some things raised questions like how air pods and iphones are in this movie then Gyllenhaal's character has a flip phone. Performances are good all around and although the movie definitely could have been better it's still good.
I guess not many people love this movie as much as I do. I love the score, the performances, the concept, the mystery. Very well executed movie by M. Night Shyamalan one of my favorites by him
Surprisingly this documentary shows both sides of X who was a very controversial artist and person. I’m glad they didn’t only focus on the positive of his life because X went through phases of change in his life and had his demons. This covers his demons as well as how talented he was at making all kinds of music and how influential he was in many peoples life. This didn’t try to say X was innocent just that he was changing to become a better person for himself and his fans and X just got took from us to soon.
As someone who has never had any interest or connection with Pokemon or pokemon charcters I can still say this is an enjoyable movie. I think this will be really fun movie for die hard pokemon fans but most of the intrigue came from Ryan Reynolds for me. All of the pokemon charcaters look good, and humor is a big part of this movie and they're are constant jokes made it dosen't really come off as trying to hard even tho they were trying hard. Ryan Reynolds carries this movie with his voicework because this movie dosen't really work without him, but still a fun movie that can be enjoyed.
Very interesting movie with unique directing style. Movie is very captivating and intense draws you in not sure how it would have been with normal directing almost would like to see an alternate version with normal camerawork, wasn't a huge fan of the ending but still a very good movie.
Edgar Wright really outdid himself this time and I’m consistently amazed by his work. The direction in this film is honestly probably the best of year with every shot so delicately placed and beautiful, the scenery in this film is obviously stunning and the costume design absolutely phenomenal. You can really tell every time Edgar Wright makes a film how much a movie movie buff he is. Every song in this film feels so perfectly chosen for every scene and the score is amazing as well. Thomasin McKenzie was absolutely amazing in this film and deserves more love because this film was marketed it seems as Ana Taylor Joys film and when it comes to Ana Taylor Joy she absolutely stole the show and made your eyes lock in on her with every scene she was in. Can’t understate how artistic this film is and just a good horror movie in general as well. Easily one of the best movies this year if not the best so far.
Another horror sequel that doesn’t need to exist. The original had a fantastic premise so the fact that there weren’t rly any likable characters was easier to ignore. The first one had a plot u could describe to someone and convince them to watch whereas this one felt very generic and like something I’ve seen before. This movie starts strong and try’s to connect us to Stephen Lang’s character but as the movie progresses u care less and less and ultimately just wait for the movie to end because u could care less about a single character in the movie. And that’s where this movie hits its biggest flaw it doesn’t matter who dies or how if the only reason u don’t want them to die is because there there a lil bit less of a douchebag than the next character. A movie can’t connect to the audience if the audience can’t connect with the characters. That being said I was never scared or on the edge of my seat like the first mostly because I didn’t care about anyone.
This is easily Sean Anders best film was just expecting a funny comedy but was hit with so many more emotions. This film is funny and charming but also so heartfelt and happy and just a whole range of emotions to be felt and sends just such a great message.
All of the intrest in this movie comes from the premise, kid superman but evil and that's what this movie is and that's really all this movie is. It has moments of attempting to be real or show emotion but it continually failed. Really all you have here is a kid with the abilities of superman attempting to kill everyone and that's it nothing more, so if u can enjoy that check this out, if u need more i'd say skip it.
"How I Met Your Mother" has one of the worst endings in tv no entertainment history. What a slap in the face to everybody who watched this show for 9 years and yet this show still has a 9 out of 10 for me. Why is that? Because I truly believe this is one of the best shows of all time so many good quotes and catchphrases and running gags and this show is so memorable and you love all the characters so much and you always feel weird when a show you love ends but when it ends like this you are just so angry and upset. I had heard that people were very angry about the ending of this show but I thought that was because they didn't like the mother and thought Ted and Robin should end up together turns out it was the total opposite. Ted and Robin were never electric togther they had they're moments but weren't even close to Barney and Robin. The last few seasons still have great episodes but the writing descions as a whole were terrible. I wasn't sure what they were pushing having Barney and Robin engaged but still hinting that Ted and Robin had feelings for each other it was like COME ON MAKE A DESCION and I thought they were just gonna have bad writing hinting those feelings and have them both end up with someone else but the writers said no lets have terrible writing. You spend literally an entire season with Robin and Barney's wedding AN ENTIRE SEASON then in the next episode were told they get divorced. Nobody gives a crap about Ted and Robin now you have barney pretty much depressed but hiding it, Tracy dead who I loved btw all for a couple nobody even shipped.
This is the first Grinch movie i've seen so maybe that alters my judgment but I really enjoyed this movie, animation is really good, it's heartwarming, and funny. Charcaters are all really likeable, soundtrack isn't the best but overall an enjoyable movie.
Everyone is mentioning the comedy either working or not, I really didn't view this as a comedy nor really laugh. I thought this was a good movie, would I watch it again? Proabably not because of how disturbing it is, this movie is very weird, creepy, and disturbing but I think it was well made overall.
The film is full of humor, charisma, and charm it constantly had me chuckling or grinning. Meryl Streep is fantastic as always Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci are all wonderful as well.
Biggest Flaw is that it’s unbalanced which is unfair due to the nature of it being based off a true story. I wasn’t going in expected a action packed war movie but when that’s what it gave me at the beginning I couldn’t help but want more. First Act of this movie is spectacular and relighted a spark of love for war films for me as I had grown very worn on the genre. When this film is delivering action is when it’s at its best which is no surprise because that’s what Guy Ritchie is great at. As well as giving us some beautifully directed shots that and probably the best score I’ve seen in a movie in a very long time.
Clouds is a feel good and very sad movie at the same time so get your tissues ready. I felt everybody gave a great performance and that this movie was put out with the best intentions. For every second Fin Argus is on the screen he embodies Zach Sobiech and brings his character to life, Lil Rel Howery also stole every scene he was in. You learn to love the parents even tho there no perfect family and the music in this movie is so good. There’s a reason Clouds has gone :pound_symbol:1 twice now it and the story behind it just have a way of gripping into your heart and head and just staying there. This isn’t a masterpiece by any means and there are probably better movies about somebody near death but this movie finds a way to make you smile, laugh, and cry and is not forgettable.
This is a truly beautiful film, with a phenomenal performance by Willem Dafoe, I love the camera work in this film it follows you around constantly moving and it was very unique and something that I loved, although I don't think it would work with any other movie. The directing felt like a sense of art itself, like we were seeing the world through Van Gogh's eyes.
Wow, just wow. Kinda been in a teen/high school movie phase as of late but had no idea what i was getting myself into with this one. Not your typical teen movie where you meet girl fall in love with girl movie plot so much meaning and value in this story and not even a romance really at least I don't really think it is. Such a great cast Emma Watson is obviously good, Ezra Miller and Paul Rudd are both great, and Logan Lerman is phoneomeal I mean phoneomeal, kid really did a great job. For a high school movie where you would expect such upbeat and happy themes this movie wasn't afraid to constantly stay real. Don't get me wrong this movie isn't depressing just it's so real I mean you could feel it through the screen where at times you didn't want to watch, because of the awkwardness or tension cause you could feel it as if you were the character in the movie, this movie definitely surprised me.
"People come in here when something good is going on in their lives, they want to capture that happy moment and make it permanent." The ending of this movie just is beautiful. This movie hits a little to close to home for me it just makes you feel uncomfortable but the movie is just real and the performances are all phenomenal epically Ed Oxenbould.
I was able to see a early screening to this and although I went into it pretty blind as far as what the movie was about I still had high hopes due it being directed by the same director as Edge of Seventeen. Rachel McAdams and Abby Ryder Fortson are both great as well as the whole cast and this movie has some comedic moments and realism of awkwardness in a young coming of age movie. Not that every movie has to have something dramatic or big happen to be able to be told but this movie never quite captivated me as an audience member in the story. The runtime was progressing and the movie was nearing an end and I was asking myself when something was gonna happen. Are You There God? It’s Me Margaret is a sweet story of a girl moving to a new town and growing up at least what she thinks is growing up getting her first period and sure it’s a sweet simple story but you leave kinda disappointed that nothing really happened besides watching the life of a 6th grader during one school year.
Maybe it's just me but there's nothing special about this movie. There's nothing that stood out that made this movie great, maybe it held up better when it came out but the movie isn't hilarious nor scary I do like some of the concepts when it came to ghosts and some of the charcters were likable but nothing extraordinary when it came to this movie.
Ewan McGregor is great as always, Pooh, Eeyore, and Tigger are all fantastic. This is a very cute and heartwarming movie that tells us family and happiness are more important than success.
I'm not sure about this one, the cinematography is great, the score is really good, the dancing is all good but this movie is very long, it does kinda drag and im still not sure what I watched and not sure if I wanna find out.
Alex Garland approves his resume with this movie. After Ex Machina and Annihilation I was very excited for Men and it was an experience. This is definitely the most legitimate horror/disturbing thing garland has released to date and I don’t mind it. The third act it where it gets crazy and will lose most of the audience if there not prepared but I’m used to his bizarre third acts and this was the most bizarre. There are definitely deeper meanings and symbolism that needs analyzed but I think this is a great film that does great at making the audience uncomfortable.
A really great film, wish I could find more movies like this that just hit every emotion. It's a feel good movie that hits emotional elements also very funny, good romance, and great music.
A really great war film that's truly devasting I love how we see the effect on the characters just as much as the effects of the actual war. Both are shown just the right amount of time to show the effect of the war. Charlie Sheen is really good and Willem Dafoe is great.
Definitely one of the weirdest movies i've ever seen but the more I think about it the more this movie impresses me it ain't easy to stay in someones head long after you see the movie so props on that to this movie. I liked that this movie had guts and wasn't afraid to be different. Don't know anything before watching this if you can and just go along with the ride.
This movie holds up so well, which is why it's a classic this movie is so good and no matter where you go or went to school there's those stereotypes and this movie explores those different stereotypes all interacting with each other and sharing common issues. The nostalgia with this movie definitely helps but nonetheless this movie is incredible kinda wish {spoiler} they didn't couple in the end but that's really my only flaw with the movie.
Didn't love it, it's a good movie nothing great kind of boring nothing really stood out to me to love this movie.
Wow. I enjoyed this way more than I thought I would. Really great message kind of a feel good movie that battles tough topics at the same time.
Phenomenal performance by Glenn Close. Good movie, good message, nothing really spectacular.
