Pokémon: 1x05 Showdown in Pewter City

The further you get into this series, the further it deviates from the games. If you can accept that, this, this was fun and enjoyable.

Bill Nye: The Science Guy: 1x12 Sound

Though good for what it is, this may be one of the worst episodes of this show. It has its entertaining and informative moments, but it is largely rather annoying and noisy, especially when Soundgarden shows up and plays a song decidedly inappropriate for Bill Nye's target audience, which is then repeated during the closing credits. Even the usual parody music video starts out good, but is ruined by the underwear-like tops of two of the female singers. Teachers and homeschooling parents and may want to think twice before using this as part of class.

Bizaardvark: 1x05 The Collab

Cute and funny, with Calum Worthy (Austin & Ally) in a very un-Dez-like role.

Lizzie McGuire: 1x26 Scarlett Larry

More old-school fun featuring my old flame, Lizzie McGuire. The one thing I object to is Kate's wardrobe during gym class.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters: 1x12 Trial by Red Eyes

Another fun episode of card duels. It was kind of unnecessary to show Téa in a towel, though.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: 1x23 Return to New York (3)

More martial arts fun featuring the Turtles. This was an exciting conclusion to the three-episode story arc, and the ending was a bit of a surprise. Parents, however, may be concerned with the intensity of the violence in this episode.

Bill Nye: The Science Guy: 1x08 Phases of Matter

Entertaining and informative, as usual...but, I remember seeing a scene on this back in the day that wasn't present on the DVD version. Did they edit it, or am I just delusional?

Good Luck Charlie: 2x22 The Bob Duncan Experience

Another cute and funny episode. The one thing I didn't care for was the scene during the end credits.

Synopsis: Joe is in big trouble! When the principal of his school finds out that Joe helped the lunch lady donate the cafeteria's unused food to the local food bank, she gets fired! Joe believes with all his heart that what he is doing is right...but, will he emerge victorious? This reminds Wishbone of the classic tale of Robin Hood, where a one-time nobleman became an outlaw to steal from the rich and give to the poor.

The Good: Classic literature and a Disney-Channel-esque story; sounds like a winner to me!

The Bad: This is the last of the DVD episodes, but, I want more! Will we ever get a complete series release?

Content Concerns:
Sex: Innocent romance; a man wearing a woman's dress.
Nudity: Shirtless guy.

Violence: Some swordplay, including a big battle towards the end; nothing bloody or gory, though.
Drugs: None.
Frightening/Intense Scenes: Wishbone (as Robin Hood) nearly gets hit with a sword; emotional intensity.

When Kate insults the heirlooms, she thinks it's no big deal...until strange things start happening. Is she in big trouble?

The Good: Astronomy is one of my favorite branches of science, and Bill Nye and crew do an awesome job of keeping it fun, while teaching us at the same time.

The Bad: The closed captioning could have been better; deaf or hard-of-hearing viewers will want to take note of that.

Content Concerns:
Sex: None.
Nudity: None.
Language: None.
Violence: Comedic pratfalls.
Drugs: None.
Frightening/Intense Scenes: None.
Other: An allusion to the Big Bang theory (no, not the show!)

Bill Nye: The Science Guy: 2x03 Blood & Circulation

I'm pressed for time today, so, I'll just say that, overall, I enjoyed this episode. The music video was a hilarious parody of "Love Shack," there were many great facts throughout, and there was even a cameo by Sinbad. The only issue I had with it was that the "Did You Know That...?" was a little annoying.
