This is one of the best sports animes I have ever seen. I highly recommend it (assuming you like the genre).
Never heard of this one. It's a hidden gem. Great story. Some stuff doesn't make sense but if you forgive some inconsistency it's one of the best historical fiction anime.
I can see why some might like or even love this, but the pompous dialogue, arrogant and rude characters, really detract from the overall experience.
Main characters change between season but usually it's the supporting characters that have any personality or humor. The MC usually stands aloof as an icon of superiority. You root for them because they are the good guy not because you like them.
Overall, against popular opinion, this title is average. Good enough as a distraction but not something you will really care about.
It's pretty standard but it's pretty fun. If you're the guy who's only interested in the caviar of anime then this won't whet your whistle. It's more of the same of the mass produced anime by numbers: common themes with a little fan service.
However, its likable, fun, and perfectly fine to turn off your brain.
Despite being par for the course, I'm looking forward to season 2.
It's slow paced but I liked it.
Season1 I would rate a 7, but Season2 really fell off. All talk and no action. Just a lot of dialogue where characters talk about philosophy, their perspective, their motives, or explaining history or dynamic. has grown tiresome.
This show is surprising. It's great and warm about people and the intricacies of how people relate. It shows people and their struggles in life and uses the female lead as the anchor for it all. It is a show about love but not quite about romance. There is no action to speak of yet its thoroughly entertaining.
An excellent anime. I am not good with keeping up with Anime trends but was lucky enough to come across this one. Well done.
It was okay but Ayuzawa's pursuers were always so rapey and cringy. Made me uncomfortable and I'm a convicted sex offender! jk jk :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:. Unfortunately, I did feel like it was too over the top often and you wait long moments for the MC to defend herself or be rescued.
Maybe the goal was to show the Japanese ideal of a woman who will take abuse? I think they take it a bit too far.
Like a previous reviewer, I really like that the tone was more serious. It might not be fast paced but it makes up for it with some character development.
It's pretty bad. Story isnt very good and the sexual gags become tiresome. Just an awkward attempt at titillation, but failing miserably over and over.
Mostly sucks. Story is really basic, mostly focused on big boobs and pseudo-sexual situations. It never really goes anywhere not does it even try. Somehow they wrote a whole season based on the typical tropes where the girl wants the guy but acts coy, but is really hypersexual. And the guy acts oblivious until he can't, then acts scared, runs or nose bleeds.
There's really no reason to watch this unless you're someone who gets off on cartoon chicks.
Personally, I really liked it. Like an anime Top Gun.
Love the rebel cowboy cop side of the show. Some of the political issues it goes for seems far too contrived and convenient. Despite this, it delivers on the action and grit.
It's definitely a mixed bag but it's also one of the better cop shows in the last few years.
It was a masterpiece. I was stunned by how good it was. I can't believe I kept putting this anime off. I binged the whole thing in an evening.
Strange story and lack any real direction. Feel like the whole season could have been done in 2 or 3 episodes then had a real story going forward. Hopefully if they get a 2nd season its sorted out, but if they dont get another season its not big loss.
I like this show but it's like the Entourage of Fantasy Anime. Main Character lives a charmed life and anything that goes wrong is fixed quickly and cleanly. It's not terribly deep or intricate. Just a surface story that has a satisfying bite sized show. Perfectly fine to shut off your brain for a bit.
Definitely smart and different. However for me it was difficult to like. I just couldn't get behind the MC villain dynamic. It was entertaining in some ways, but didn't leave me feeling good.
It was enjoyable. Cliche certainly and brings nothing new to the table, but I personally enjoyed it. Wished there were an OVA to wrap it all up.
Accidentally stumbled on this and it's insane and sadistic and I love it! Definitely not for kids, not even for most adults. Crosses the line left and right so be warned.
I like it but it's so similar to "How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom" that there is so little to differentiate them.
Admittedly, this series takes a predictable path of most Isekai. Still the pacing is good and they don't spend a ridiculous amount of time giving speeches about stuff that isn't necessary to drive the story. I like it and definitely hope for more than one season.
I know the main character isn't smart. They beat you over the head with his learning disabilities and inability to connect with his peers. But do they need to make him a complete idiot?
it's frustrating to watch everyone he trusts one by one betray him...yet he just goes ahead and continues trusting others not realizing they are all a part of the same system.
it's frustrating to watch.
How does he not see this stuff coming from a mile away? The show telegraph's almost every move. Zero surprises, zero twists. It's so predictable.
Further, the other important characters are either good or evil. No real complexity you're clearly delineated in the colors of black or white.
However, despite all these flaws, you root for the hero. Why? because the show works so hard at not giving you an option. There is no one else to have any sympathy for but the hapless, strong kid.
Was awesome till they fucked it up with a time loop storyline.
This is pretty dumb. One of the worst stories I have seen. Poor motivations. Silly character back stories. A hero who is not really good. A villain who isn't really bad. A love interest who isn't really important to the story. It's a jumbled mess.
Personal fan theory to Finis pregnancy in finale. Baby fathered by "original" Leobort NOT the Leobort in finale. In Finis memories they show candlelight silhouettes of them touching intimately which I think alludes to love making. After original Leo dies and Finis sings the song of mortality and gains immortality, changes to her body is suspended. She can't age, she can't be damaged (based on her attempted drowning, being burned at the stake and being pushed off a bridge).
After Rin's sacrifice, hope (her song of healing) is returned to Finis. There is a brief flash where we hear a heartbeat and Rin's shock. I think this was to signify, she was released from her immortality and that perhaps she had become pregnant by Original Leo but the immortality placed it in a suspended state. The shock and heartbeat was NOT Finis's heart but the heartbeat of the child which surprised her. What do you think?
This is some pervy weird stuff.
If you have seen My Girl with Mccauley Culkin, this brings about the same effect. Its a heart warming, tear jerker.
Story is pretty good BUT the MC is obnoxiously arrogant and ignorant. Hard to get behind him. Thankfully there are more likable supporting characters.
This is trash. Not sure if it's considered hentai but definitely close enough.
