1x07 Trompe L'Oeil

@orinmons It was amazing when it hit you, wasn't it? I felt the same. Many plot elements in TV shows and movies can be quite predictable these days but this I did not see coming.

@orinmons The hints were there ... some conversations with him that mimicked those with hosts. Go back back and look at the man in black introducing the mexican guy's family and then Ford's conversation with Bernard where his child is first mentioned . The reveal was pretty nicely done , though.

@orinmons I'm impressed you got it so early, but apparently they've been dropping hints since episode one! I didn't figure out until he said "Doesn't look like anything to me" after seeing his name on a blueprint, it just never occurred to me that they could be one of them! Definitely the best episode. Raises so many questions.

I was honestly expecting a reveal like this since episode one. I immediately started guessing who's going to turn out to be a host in the real world (maybe everyone?). Obviously I didn't know it was going to be Bernard, but the basic concept was painfully obvious. After all it's a variation on the oldest trick in the dramatic twists book. ("The blank was blank all along!"). You could usually see them a mile away.
The way it was done was superb though. Brilliantly shot. And the acting was simply amazing, especially the actress playing Theresa, that was really something. The way she reacted when seeing those blueprints, wow.

@nerve33 Yeah I agree with expecting that one or more people from the real world was actually a host. It being Bernard was unexpected though.

@orinmons Reminded me of good ol' Battlestar Galactica!! spoiler to those who didn't see it: where all the "6" were revealed, especially the XO. He was shocked as I was right now.
