You do realize that scripts are based on books/novels and movies/shows & games, right? So what?

@yirei You do realize how many new TV shows this season were based on an existing movie?
I was just pointing out on a trend for this season.
Also gave that comment for the people who didn't know that there was a great movie behind this show.

@dborg MASH, In the Heat of the Night, Fargo, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Dukes of Hazard, Bates Motel ect. .... could not be reached for comment.

@wambie I agree that there were lots of tv shows based on movies.
My point was that it increased like a lot recently, and that was my point.
I think trend started around 2014.
To name the "few" that I watched/am watching:
(Minority report, Limitless, Rush Hour, Westworld, Demien, Scream, Taken, Ash vs Evil Dead, Fargo, Bates Motel, Snatch, Exorcist, Dominion, From Dusk till Dawn, Training Day, 12 Monkeys, Frequency, Bad teacher, Lethal Weapon, Odd Couple, About a Boy, and yes Time after Time.)
I'm sure I missed quite a few,
and there are some that it is debatable if the source is from movie, comic or a book so I didn't include them.
(Lemony Snicket, Marvel, DC, Shadowhunters etc)
