I really wanted to give the benefit of the doubt to this show. The title is telling you that this show is going to be about the wall in the society that is race. I guess it was my fault expecting something more than that.

After having to sit through 30 minutes of a badly written, directed and acted episode, I realized that the creator of this show only wants to fuel the hatred in the black society. The show tries to do this by diminishing the white race. (You're in an Ivy League college, who fucking asks "What are you?" to a black person?) But I'm sure the limited target audience of this show will love it.

@timeless I felt the same way. I was really hoping for something amazing, maybe my expectations were too high.

@timeless If you watch more than 30 minutes you'll see that the show highlights the struggle of the students to balance fueling each others hatred with what will actually make change. Trying to choose battles and figuring out how to work with white people and when they shouldn't bother is something the characters struggle with. White people not being the focus and not always being shown in a positive light doesn't mean the creator wants to fuel hatred it means the focus is on the Black students as they try to navigate life and their place in the world.

@timeless Your statement clearly underscores your (and your likes) misunderstanding of the intent of this show and the struggle of blacks in America and across the globe. You event went as far as to boldly point your finger at the "limited audience" who would love this show. Do you see the pattern? I don't think you would because you picked the show based on its title to satisfy your curiosity rather than trying to digest the message it has to offer.

of course you would say that. typical white person response. it's not about you, so you don't want to hear it. begone with that nonsense. if you took more than 30 minutes to watch the show you would understand it's more than what you just described.

Hit too close to reality for you? Or seriously have no idea that your life isn't the script for everyone else's?

The fact they only idiot agreeing with you is a blonde white bimbo avatar claiming she's a minority (definitely friggin laughable) should be your first sign you have racist tendencies of your own you should address.

Watch it again where you pay attention to what some of the white people say, the responses and more importantly, how they change when they know someone versus they don't. White America has a bad habit of wanting to pretend we don't notice race and why is everyone that's not white whining. It never occurs to most of us that is the exact attitude that creates the current issues. White Americans who say that just feed into the actual racists and that amplifies the issue.

The reality is it is different and until we acknowledge it as a whole, the racist whites take advantage of our ignorance of how they treat others and that makes everyone guilty at some level.
