This unflattering portrait of Churchill evokes his discontent concerning Operation Overlord in the days leading up to D-Day. Brian Cox's performance is spot on and easily one of the best of his career. Sadly, it is also wasted in this "Hollywood've liked it better this way" interpretation of history, which unfortunately includes a great deal of mediocre speeching.
