[7.2/10] A little lumpy, but has its moments. Anytime you can bring Judy Greer on board, you’re doing something right. I did get a kick out of her character (the former “Fatty Magoo”) and her interactions with Dennis, where Dennis would attempt to put on the charm and she would incredulously no-sell the hell out of it. Dennis’s parts were actually the least I liked this episode, since even though the misogyny and rapeyness of it were intended and being satirized, it comes off a bit too uncomfortable for my tastes. That said, the resolution, that it’s a product of his escalating insanity, insecurity about peaking, to where he comes to believe that only he can wear his dress, is a nicely absurd conclusion to the whole thing.

I also enjoyed the contrast between Dee and Charlie. Dee’s disbelief about Judy Greer’s character stealing her dream and the rest of the crew doing so little to help is done well enough. Even though Dee’s as terrible as the rest of the gang, sometimes she plays just enough of the straight man role to help ground some of the insanity. And Charlie was in rare form, between getting too into Dennis’s ludicrous dress sketches to responding like a dog.

Mac taking his cues from Frank and trying to manipulate people and be a hardass paid some comedic dividends too, with the literal sweatshop being another absurd escalation.

Overall, some definite funny moments, though also a sense of scatteredness and unpleasant stuff here and there that brought it down a bit.
