This show surprised me. I was expecting more Big Bang Theory but it is much different. While it has plenty of elements to make it feel familiar it strangely reminded me more of the wonder years I guess its the style of an older version of the character narrating? ie Kevin Arnold telling his story, Sheldon telling his story.
There feels to be some similar feeling with the two fathers from the different shows as well.
I say this not as any form of criticism, as I was a huge fan of the wonder years, and I enjoyed the first episode of Young Sheldon as well. Though I fear I am showing my age a little and a lot of people will not see the similarities.
