ok ok i thought that we were going to have more before that ending that scene with her beating her mom up was pretty brutal, the episode takes a bit to get going but it pays off, not a perfect one, but a relevant one perharps.i just wish there was a bit more before it ended or made things slightly more interesting by putting Sara as a LGBT character for example

@marasvinicus How does making her gay make this more interesting? It would totally change the dynamics of what it was trying to pull off...

Totally agree with @sp1ti. Why would making Sara LGBT make things more interesting?
Or to you, LGBT is just an entertaining thing? Trakt should have a report function for comments.

@cooltomatos Oh yeah, totally, I'm a trans woman myself and find LGBT people just to be gimmicks! It would mean the episode would have more real, interesting problems to deal with. I thought it was pretty flat, unidimensional, her "issues" were superficial.. if she was LGBT her mom would have dealt with that in a whole different way... It would add a different angle to the episode and tackled differente issues.

@cooltomatos but you know, that's just my opinion: Black Mirror often gets too unidimensional, I'm a big fan of the series but some episodes like this does lack something more... solid. This one had a good plot, but wasn't developed, also I just commented the LGBT thing as an OPTION of an interesting plot, you don't need to report me because I said something you misinterpreted

@marasvinicus The "Arkangel" technology does not really fit together with LGBT topics, or at least would have driven the narrative towards this completely and thus distract from the core idea (of her mother overstepping the boundaries and abusing it). This was teenage angst at play so it doesn't matter if you think that her "issues" were superficial (kinda offensive tho). Her mom would have reacted the same way regardless of what "issue" she would have assessed in her daughter's life.
For me this would have been more interesting if they focused more on the harms of "censoring" your child's perception of the world or the effect of "body mods" for a growing child. There was little point in putting on a generic drama for this kind of a cliché.

Dunno why he wanted to report this, but it certainly is an odd statement to make imho :]...

@sp1ti I agree with you, this episode needed more to work, but what i meant was: it needed SOMETHING, anything to make it more interesting. i agree on tackling the more psycological aspects and deepening into the censoring your child from frustration, the LGBT thing was just a thought to give another dimension to the story... people are always attacking everyone on the internet for nothing (that's very Black Mirror)
