This movie is one of the reasons Nic Cage has become what he has become in pop culture. Not a great movie, but a fun one that is pure 1990's action. Malkovich creates a great malicious villain and Steve Buscemi has never been more terrifyingly creepy (which is saying something!) Turn your brain off and have fun with this one.
