[7.2/10] This one was full of exposition and flashbacks, but the story itself is pretty solid. Between Peter reflecting on how he ended up being framed by Fisk Jr., and Daredevil recounting how he became blind and developed his abilities, there was very little action that took place in the “present” of the episode, but it all worked as a way to borrow a little excitement from later in the story and explain what Daredevil’s whole deal is.

I liked the interactions between both Peter Parker and Matt Murdock, as well as between Spider-Man and Daredevil. The fact that neither knows the other’s secret identities makes for some interesting dramatic irony, and the action here was better than usual as well. Daredevil has a unique visual style for the show, and his roof-leaping, baton-using methods made him both stand out and compliment Spider-Man.

The whole plotline of Peter being set up as a patsy for Fisk and Fisk Jr. to sell US defense secrets is a little silly, but a neat enough angle, and the whole trial aspect provides both a nice means to put Matt Murdock into the story, and to put Parker and Detective Lee on opposite sides.

Overall, a lot of table-setting here, but some interesting stuff nonetheless.
