A happy ending for everyone (who deserved one), quickly followed by a somewhat bleak ending. I guess they weren't aware the show would be cancelled when planning this season finale, as we got hints that there would be more story to be told.

This season felt way too random, which, ironically, goes against the show's premise, and Dirk, who used to be the epitome of optimism and self-confidence, became the opposite of that, a constantly whining coward. So, even though the second season was not on par with the "organised chaos" concept of the first one, it was still fun to watch, and it definitely showed potential for future seasons. It's such a pity that mediocre shows like Legends of Tomorrow (just to name one) get renewed season after season, while precious rare quirky gems like Dirk Gently are simply abandoned halfway through.

At least this final episode gave me two things to treasure for life:

-- Can you turn into a bug?
-- Only emotionally.

... And "Amboolent".
