@jodygo Couldn't agree more with what you've said here. I really enjoyed it even though I, too, found the first episode a bit confusing, but then it went on to get better and better, and Nicola Walker was, as always, brilliant. I look forward to watching the other two seasons.

The first episode was a bit confusing. All these different characters with no seeming tie. But...watch on...and as the episodes roll out the ties between all the characters to a 1976 murder become clear. Loved the concept of this show, Nicola Walker, as usual, brings her nuanced acting to every scene, and many other actors are just incredible. Tom Courtney won the 2016 BAFTA for Best Supporting Actor in his role. You'll understand why after watching this engrossing, and sometimes heartbreaking, series.
