[5.5/10] Another underwhelming outing. The whole “mother-in-law doesn't like daughter-in-law” is a massive cliché, and while there was some minor juice in Mrs. MacArthur thinking that Taco hung the moon and revealing that she buys weed from him the entire bit with her tut tutting her disapproval of Jenny was more dull Home Improvement crud. I did like the MacArthur’s interactions with Jay Cutler’s wife, as it’s the kind of weird but goofy terribleness that plays better than the show’s usual “cruel terribleness” stuff.

I went hot and cold on the Rafi story. I like Rafi, but he tends to work better in small doses. His story had its moment, and I particularly liked him finding a woman who can almost out-Rafi him, but the whole posing as Ruxin bit was pretty dumb, and the making out with Sofia thing was just weird. Taco and his roommate trying to pose as a normal couple is a solid premise, but didn’t get a lot of laughs. And it’s been 24 hours and I can’t even remember what Pete and Andre were up to, which isn’t a good sign.

Overall, after an uptick in Season 3, it feels like The League is back to slumping, which I find pretty disappointing.
