Let's assume vampires is the next step in evolution. And let's move one step down. So...Too many people on this planet. Food crisis. Animals suffer, being cultivated with the only purpose - to serve as food, but their quantity is not able to satisfy people's current need for food. Hunger induced cannibalism, which turns people into monsters. Scientists work on creating artificial meat, but it can hardly solve the problem - there will always be someone ready to pay or to kill to have some real meat. It is time to realize that people are animals too, and animal husbandry, therefore, is the largest crime in the planet's history. Pain and death of the first animal rights activists. Probably, this is the only serious problem with this theory (or the movie) - animal rights cannot solve the food crisis. Am I giving to much credit to this movie by thinking of it this way?
