A mixed effort this week. Kind of a 2 steps forward and 1 step back affair IMO. The storyline was advanced as far as Communist infiltrators, but then, they pulled a Jedi mind trick with the old, "he's not the comrade you're looking for", two commie Monte. But, it almost turned into Adriana's last ride, ala The Sopranos, featuring Captain Quinn in the Silvio role and poor Christopher, er, Rizzuto, finding himself in the same situation as Adriana. Fortunately, he knew when to hold em' and when to fold em, and, although he couldn't walk away, he didn't have to run, because Quinn figured it out before caps were peeled back. Whew!

Meanwhile out in the woods, the last scoutmaster, decides to get his target practice on, after chasing down a hovering Gunstar, and, taking a few potshots at Grig, ... no , not really, but, I wonder why the first thing country folks try to do when they come across aliens is to try and punch holes in em with what to the supposed intergalactic visitors, would have to be considered very primitive weapons? Remember Independence Day's public service warning, "Please do not shoot at the space ships, as you might start an intergalactic war". That would seem to be good advice .

Anyway, Dr. Hynek has gone all schizo again, on the one hand seeming like he wants to believe, but on the other doing everything possible to poo poo the locals story, even after finding something very familiar and interesting in the cave of the bear clan. Hijinks and debunking ensue, and in the end, the truth, sort of prevails. Then Quinn asks Hynek a very serious question, that is, Dr Hynek, Are you man enough for, ...Granny Goose?"

I have to wonder, if someone GIVES you the key to a top secret room, with a top secret file drawer, and you're somehow able to walk right in, sit right down, Hynek let your mind roll on, er, just abscond without being challenged, well hell, was that really stealing? Well, it WAS but dayum Air Force, put an alarm on the door at least.

Hopefully things will start to pick up a bit next week.
