@medous Diego will deliver them to his guy at the station in a plastic baggie. They won't have his prints on them, but they will have the prints of two others. The same prints that the police found all over that hotel room. Even beat cops will know better than to continue to suspect Diego for the murder.

So Hazel gives his and Cha-Cha's guns to number 5 so that Diego can get cleared of the murder of Patch, it doesn't seem to have occurred to him that the guns being in their home will just make the cops more certain the Diego killed Patch, and implicate his family as well.
