Why sure, show, I'll take a multiple-scene sequence soundtracked by Suede's "Chemistry Between Us", thank you. It's not that I needed more reasons to adore you, Now Apocalypse, but what's one more?
Also, the way the various relationships developed this episode makes me more confident that the show really is earnest in its sincerity when it's being sincere – even if it's also capable of being snide, cynical, and very leery of said sincerity at other times. Knowing that this dichotomy is (mostly?) a conscious choice by the creators makes it easier for me to swallow the show's tonal inconsistencies going forward (which, I hope from the bottom of my heart, means farther than one more episode).
